Old Van Buren Inn: George Washington Carver Slept Here

Don't know anything about George Washington Carver or his sleep habits, but this turn-of-the-century accommodation (once the Crawford County Bank) is the most sumptuous and most venerable B&B in Van Buren. The so-called Cranberry Room goes for $89 a night, the Green Room for $79, both at double occupancy rates. The occasional extra person will add $15 per night to the total. It is possible that a large party can feast like kings at the first floor restaurant and then commandeer the entire second floor, which rents as a single unit (subject to availability) for $120 per night (double occupancy).
