MOST RECOMMENDABLE PLACE TO BUY FRESH SEAFOODS

by COMEONDOWN

HI THERE,
Living near Disneyland, would there be a place, a store, an Asian store that sells daily seafoods, we need large fresh (not frozen please) crabs, large shrimps, regular size lobster and good tasting fishes. We are preparing a party of seafoods. Most recommendable with good reputation of selling fresh seafoods...Many thanks to you guys!

you live near Disney now or will be there? Recently moved? What's a lot to you? IF its tons of the freshest, I know the owner to the seafood store on Long Beach Pier, if you want. there are a few places, especially if you live west of Disney. Westminister has tons of Asian stores. East is a little harder but has some

These supermarkets are great. I frequent one here in San Diego area . In Anaheim try this one +

99 Ranch Market
651 N. Euclid St.
Anaheim, CA 92801-4621
(714) 776-8899

"Tawa Supermarket was established in 1984 by Mr. Roger H. Chen. Due to the demand for Asian food in the area, Mr. Chen opened the first store in Westminster, CA (Little Saigon). In the past twenty years, Tawa has satisfied the needs of oversea immigrants by providing them with their hometown flavors. Today, Tawa has developed from an individual market into a grand diversified organization. We now serve customers from all over the world. As of the end of 2001, our supermarket division owns twenty-one full-service stores in California and one store in Washington. Tawa has also successfully opened independent licensee stores in Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, and Indonesia. Tawa’s success can be attributed to its customer-first philosophy, convenient locations, pleasant shopping environment, and the wide variety of products that it offers."

Travel Tips for Anaheim

California Adventure Park

by joanj

Beware that when you purchase your Disneyland Ticket, it does NOT include entry into The California Adventure Park, there is a separate admission price for this Park.

Or you can by a Multi-Day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper Ticket, which allows you to visit both theme parks.

If you exit and plan to return on the same day, or you are visiting the other theme park, present your valid ticket and hand stamp to re-enter.

This park it situated opposite Disneyland.

Online Planning Tool - Ridemax

by Camping_Girl

Ridemax is a software application that you can purchase online. You download the software onto your computer. You can either purchase a 90 day subscription (15 USD) or a one year subscription ($25 USD). Once you have the software on your own computer, you can plan your trip to Disney with it. You need to tell the software what your travel dates are, what time you plan to arrive at and leave the park, when you want to take breaks, and what rides and attractions you want to experience. Then the software runs its calculations, and comes up with your itinerary.

Naturally, this software is really only worth its salt on the busy periods at Disney. If you will be there on a really slow day for the park, you're probably better off to save your money. But if you're going to be there during peak periods, it is money well spent.

Disney peak periods are generally considered to be:

- mid-March to the end of April (known as "spring break" time)
- early June to the end of Labor Day weekend in September (summer holidays)
- the week before Christmas until January 1st (New Years Day)
- Thanksgiving (last Thursday in November)
- Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
- Presidents Day (3rd Monday in February)
- any Friday or Saturday I have never tried Ridemax because I don't do well with this sort of structure in my vacation. But I can tell you that I know dozens of people who have tried it, and they have all come back from Disney raving about it! From what I have been told, people using a Ridemax itinerary at Disney have little to no waiting time in a day.

The website for Ridemax is at this link:

If you like a carefully planned out vacation, Ridemax may be just the thing for you!

Go to the Zone!

by marinarena

ESPN Zone is a fun and very loud place for diversion, especially if you are a sports fan who wants to catch the game or if you love the arcade. Another thing one can do is to find himself or herself on TV. It used to be the case on Monday evenings when one could get all goofy like the Disney character on camera. This was during the many years when Monday Night football airing on ABC 7 channel in the LA area. A local host from the channel would do a post-game show featuring sports and other entertainment personalities. Cameras would feature many shots of the cheering crowd of fans in the dining area. Now, with the demise of Monday NFL Football nights, there is still life and hope for being on TV on the weekends(mostly Saturdays)with post-college football game tapings. Air times are tentative but head to the Zone in the early Saturday afternoon to try to get a good position to get on camera.

Baseball

by Mandy23

If you are a baseball fan, you can visit the Angel's Stadium and watch the game. We went to see a game in April and will go back for one in September of Angel's versus Oakland Athletics. The capacity of the stadium is approximately 45,000. Ticket prices range from circa $12 up to $75 for premium seating.

Huntington Beach

by Camping_Girl

Huntington Beach is very easy to get to from Disneyland. You can go south on Harbour and then take Pacific Coast Hwy #1 to the west. OR it's even easier (in my opinion) to get there if you first go west from Harbour to Beach Blvd. Then go south on Beach and the road will take you right into the beach parking lot.

You have to pay for parking (tell me somewhere you DON'T have to pay for parking in LA! lol), I think we paid $10 for the day.

There are fire pits along the beach where you can have a weiner-roast and bonfire, if you can get one before they're all taken. You can also walk down to the pier and walk all the way out to the end of it. (The end of the pier is closed in the winter.)
