No Salt with This PepperTree

by A TripAdvisor Member

Hotel Pepper Tree is like an oasis in the desert. My mom and I stayed at this hotel last month and were thoroughly impressed with the level of service. The rooms have delightful Spanish-style appointments and the overall decor was quite attractive. The staff members-especially the host named Rick-were very helpful with finding suitable activities for me (and my elderly mother) along with recommending some excellent area restaurants that were their personal favorites. The staff succeeded in making Hotel Pepper Tree "a home away from home" for me. I believe that this hotel would be a wonderful place for all persons- families, business people, couples to come to.

The Pepper Tree -A Great Place to Stay

by A TripAdvisor Member

I stayed at the Hotel Pepper Tree while working as a Field Interviewer in the Anaheim and surrounding areas. I can honestly say it is one of the best hotels I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The Pepper Tree is decorated in beautiful Mexican tile with lovely woodwork throughout the interior. It is accented with quaint Mexican pottery as well as authentic paintings. The rustic light fixtures & wooden antique furniture topped off the Spanish influenced decor which made me feel like I was actually in Mexico. The staff was very courteous and friendly. They helped me find my way in totally unknown neighborhoods through Internet searches. The rooms are very nice with beautiful decor and lovely tile floors. The kitchen is especially accomodating with a standard size refrigerator and stove as well as a microwave oven. I would definitely recommend The Pepper Tree Hotel for its beauty, courteous staff and great location in the Anaheim area of Southern California.

A Gem of a Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member csoruco

Just got home from sunny California and wanted to write a quick review of our stay at The Hotel Pepper Tree. What a nice surprise to find such a quaint and charming hotel tucked away in a residential neighborhood. This hotel has all the conveniences and is very large. With a full service kitchen, my family and I were able to eat some meals in which helped our budget considerably. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds almost feel like sleeping on a cloud. The environment was quiet and peaceful, no loud noises and the the staff at the hotel are an exceptional bunch of people....very professional, caring and always willing to help out with any issues. They are a wealth of information about the local attractions such as Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm which are a mere 2-3 miles away but also were able to recommend family style as well as romantic restaurants. I would like to recommend one staff member (Rick) in particular who was most gracious and accomodating. Congratulations, Pepper Tree on your continued success!

Pleasant place to stay for our Disneyland vacation

by TripAdvisor Member 1TS

We spent 4 nights in a spacious suite at the Hotel Pepper Tree in February. (ok so I’m a procrastinator, but at least I'm finally writing the review). There were some problems due to being newly reopened, but they were dealt with quickly and professionally.

Pros – Inexpensive spacious suite, 2 bathrooms, 2 large closets, comfortable beds, 4 pillows on bed - 2 regular/2 feather, fully-stocked kitchen (medium sized fridge, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, silverware and flat ware) was great with grocery across street – saved money not having to eat out every meal, free wireless internet, very friendly helpful staff – printing maps as needed, etc., short drive to Disneyland.

Cons – Chilly heated pool (was even too cold for the kids in February). Thin walls – ran fan for white noise (unfortunately hotels can’t control children running and screaming down the hall at 6am – not sure why the parents allowed this, but the staff intervened as quickly as they could.) (Staff did evict one room of particularly very noisy guests.)

Notes –
Little problems that we reported would be fixed before we got back at the end of the day. Even the fact that the refrigerator door opened the wrong way in a tight spot, we returned that night to find a new refrigerator in place.

What a nice surprise to come back from Disneyland and finding the breakfast dishes washed!

Thanks for the pleasant surprise that was left for us on our last night!!! Can’t wait to see planned upgrades next time we visit the Anaheim area.

A Definite Find... Very Charming!

WHAT A GREAT PLACE! The staff is super accomodating and eager to please. The gentleman that checked us in helped us up to our room with luggage and would not allow us to give him a tip! The room was perfect - lovely decor and very clean. Their beds are SOOOO comfy!! A definite find!

Great for Getting Married Too!

by TripAdvisor Member mariasolis1

Folks, my boyfriend and I decided to get married spur of the moment and were planning on staying at this hotel anyway since we had a character birthday breakfast to attend at Disneyland. This place is great since they are literally only a hop skip and a jump from the major theme parks. We got married at the Old Santa Ana Court House which is gorgeous by the way. It's easier to marry here than it is in Los Angeles (you can even fill out your marriage license on line and they will married within minutes!). We literally honeymooned here at the hotel and it was wonderful. The staff were great and super friendly, Joey at the front desk was nice enough to help knot my fiance's tie and Rick congratulated us with a bottle of wine. Our room was always clean and extremely confortable. Just a couple of tips though. I didn't listen to one of the previous reviewers and did not book directly which I should have, it is cheaper. For what I paid at one of the online sites I could have stayed at one of their suites. Also from what I could see he online sites do not offer the suites, you must call directly to get them. You get real value for your dollar, we took a look at the other hotels in the area and were definitely not as nice for what you pay. Will definietly stay here again!
