More about Park Vue Inn
Incredible Value for Money & Great Location Too!
by A TripAdvisor Member
As part of our "dream" USA Holiday,we stayed at the Park Vue Inn in Anahiem early December 2004 for 15 nights. We also stayed in Las Vegas & San Francisco too.
There were four of us,my wife, two teenage daughters & myself.(About 9 years ago we visited & stayed there & it was good value then) and I have no doubt that the Park Vue Inn is still the best value for money accomodation you'll find in Anahiem.
It is a great location, right opposite the entry to Disneyland/California Adventures so you don't need to use buses or shuttles to come and go to Disneyland.Just walk back to your room anytime it suits - it's so easy! We had a hire car which we were able to leave at the hotel car park (saving on Disneyland Parking fees!)
We based ourselves at the Park Vue Inn & then drove to/visited other attractions & areas such as Knotts Berry Farm,Universal Studios,Drove down to Mexico,Hollywood,Huntinton Beach,Venice Beach did some TV show tapings (Everyone Loves Raymond, that 70's Show & Jay Leno),Warner Brothers Studio Tour.Attended a Lakers NBA game at the Staples centre too.Drove heaps,Got lost & found some interesting places by doing so!
Back to why the Park Vue Inn is great value....Although not "new',we thought our room was more than adequate - Air Conditioned, Two Queen Beds, Small Microwave & Fridge,Remote TV,Clock Radio, Ironing board & Iron. We found our room spacious enough, clean & tidy. The Park Vue Inn does have a swimming pool, though the weather was too cold while we visited to use it. There's also a coin operated Laundry on site too. Also there is an inroom safe - for a small fee.
The continental breakfast is great value....& it's free too!
If it's not enough, there's also McDonalds, Ihop, Dennys and plenty of other places to eat near by. It has it's own convienience store on site with reasonable selection & prices.
We found ALL the staff very pleasent and helpfull.
Don't be put off by any of the negative reviews about the Park Vue Inn. We had read some too before booking for this recent trip, but still decided to stay there because we were so happy last time many years ago. Also I took into account my belief that people generally are more inclined to go & leave reviews when they're unhappy where as ALL of the satisfied people very rarely bother to put feedback on. After reading some of the negative reviews, I think some poeple might be a little hard to please, have too high an expectation (if you want 5 star Hilton type accomodation, you have to PAY for it), are just a little too picky or have had bad luck - if you really want to, you can pick & find fault with any accomodtion.
We would highly recommend Park Vue Inn when visiting Anahiem.
Have a great Holiday!
great place to stay

Stayed here in late September 2004, its been 12 years since I was last here and have things changed (for the better of course). Park Vue Inn the rooms were clean, had fridge and microwave. Had laundry, pool was good, the best thing it was right accross from the entrance to Disney, no buses or trams to get to Disney here. You could go and spend some time in the morning go back have a rest and swim and go back to Disney for the afternoon and night, "brillant". Heaps of restaraunts around. The desk staff werent all the knowledgeable about things but we found what we were looking for. If I went back I would stay here again no problem

We left our 3 children at home and went on an adult trip to Disneyland. We always stay at Residence Inn/Garden Grove with our children, but we were trying to be as cheap as possible so we chose Park Vue Inn because it was the cheapest ($51/nt.). First the positives: Location was great! Probably the best location to walk to Disneyland. There was a microwave and a nice-size mini-fridge in the room. The closet was large and had 8 wooden hangers. The air conditioner was not loud but perfect for white noise, which we needed as you will read about on the negatives. The rooms were quite large and check-out was quick.
Now for the negatives: Paper thin walls, almost as thin as the towels and toilet paper. We could hear every footstep and movement upstairs and they were just walking normal not stomping but it sure was loud. The room next to the headboard was watching t.v. and I'm sure if we tried we could have figured out what they were watching. In the other room we could hear their entire conversation, every word. The curtains were 6 inches from the wall so the room was never completely dark. The floors were dirty, I don't think the closet has been cleaned in awhile. Last thing was the beds were hard, not real comfy. My thoughts: Great location, price was right but would have liked better sleep. You decide.
HATED IT!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! staff lie on top of lie to 'stall' your complaints. cannot get to manager hotel. I'm looking for a way to file a formal complaint with the better business bureau & chamber of commerce. no respect for guests, rooms misrepresented on websites, small, needing remodeling, which they were doing (chainsaw & all) during our afternoon naps (no sleeping) the noise level was terrible, maids woke us up bright and earlier talking very loudly and you could hear everything around you. it was the WORST experience in 3 years of quarterly hotel visits along harbor blvd. We will NEVER stay here again and highly recommend anybody that enjoys comfort, quiet and accomodating hotel staff not stay here either. ridiculous and the manager is not returning my calls to resolve issues. p.s. they also fraudulently charged my credit card an additional $700 for unknown reasons. this has been reversed, but had my credit card had a low limit, my shopping would not have happened either. bad bad bad experience.......
Basic but close to Disneyland.

We are a family with 3 young kids (1, 4 and 6 years) so we wanted a place that was close to Disney. The location of this hotel is excellent!! It's just right across the street from the main entrance. So having that walking convenience makes up for the small negatives that we experienced (which I'll get to later).
We also enjoyed being able to see the nightly fireworks from either the 2nd floor terrace or our hotel room. (We stayed upstairs in room 212.) When I made reservations a month earlier the hotel clerk made a note that we would like an upstairs room, but I wasn't expecting to be able to get it since we were staying during the days surrounding new year's eve. How excited we were when we were settling into our room that first night, heard the fireworks, opened our drapes and could watch most of it from our room!! (Only the low flying fireworks we could not see due to the hotel next door, but you possibly could see it from the hotel's terrace which we did not try.
OK, now for the negatives. We stayed in a one bedroom suite which is quite roomy, but the decor is a bit dated. The rooms seemed to be clean, but the stuff that they can't easily wipe or stick in the washing machine (like carpet and drapes) were dirty. Just kneeling on the carpet left dark stains on our knees. One of our drapes had a big booger on it.
My other complaint is the continental breakfast was very very basic. Our suite came with a microwave and refrigerator so providing your own breakfast supplies is doable. There is also a IHOP and Denny's on either side of the hotel.
Overall we would stay here again. The hotel clerks seemed friendly and answered any questions I had. Lastly, as I had mentioned earlier, the LOCATION just made the whole trip enjoyable!
Great Value for what you pay

It was our first time in the states and of course we had to go disneyland, so the best place to stay was here with a 3 day pass and just a walk across the road to disneyland its great, you can even see the fireworks from your rooms if you cant stay to watch. we were there in the end of october and disney was quite great time to go.
The rooms are not flash, but had 2 queen beds and good size with shower over bath, fridge, microwave, tv, air con all that you need and were clean and tidy and i thought were good value and i would stay here again.
Breakfeast was included make your own toast or have donuts, pastries or just some fruit. plus 3 different jucies or tea and coffee all included in your stay, not flash but something in your tummy to start the day and not bad.
staying here we of course went to disneyland but there is easy acess to things like mexico tours, seaworld, knotts berry farm, all the theme parks, there is great shopping not far but by taxi or bus.
we hired a car and found it great, we did so much.
But not alot to walk to other than disneyland, lots of takeaway shops mcdonalds, and quicke marts , we walked to Anaheim markets which we great for bargins like perfume, brand name shoes, jeans, stereo gear and bits and peices all new things.
well thats about it.
cheap, basic, good

Stayed at the Park Vue for one night in early December, 2004. We picked this hotel due to its low price and PRIME location right next to the enterance to Disneyland.
The room was basic and a bit small with very little storage space. It would have felt cramped if we had more luggage.
The staff was very friendly and said it was no problem to leave our car in their lot all day after we checked out. We grabbed some pastries and juice from their breakfast buffet and were in line at Disneyland before we finished munching.
We would stay here again.
Great place to stay with family
by TripAdvisor Member sarahdsmom
My husband and I stayed here in the spring of 2004 with our 4 year old daughter. We had a two Queen bed room in the back part of the hotel on the top floor so no one was walking on us at night. The only problem I had was the same with most hotels, some people coming and going at night don't care about other people trying to sleep and were noisy, (one guy just can't figure out his car alarm!) this can happen anywhere. The rooms are just the right size. The air condition could of worked alittle better, we left it on high while we were at the park and the room was just cool enough when we got back that night. The people were very nice that work here, easy check-in and out. The breakfast in the morning is just fine, fresh pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, juices and coffee, it's free! Get there early for best pick! If you want more to eat you are within walking distance to Dennys and other places to eat. The entrance to the parks and downtown Disney is right across the street. The pool was clean, The stay was an enjoyable one at the right price.

Have four days in California (I know not enough but that is it)Decided with two children to stay at Anaheim. Please help with budget accommodation walking distance to Disneyland.Have found Park Vue Inn on internet looks ok any opinions?
Also best way to get from Lax to motel?Book prior to trip or on arrival?

We would also love a day tour to look at LA and go to Universal studio is it worth waiting to arrive to organise this ?
Lots of questions Thanks for help in advance.

For transportation from LAX to hotel look at www.airportbus.com

Park Vue is a good choice because it is so close to Disneyland...but the rooms are quite small. Just prepare your family for a squeeze. Anyhow, you are here to see Disneyland, not to spend your time in the motel room.
The hotel desk should be able to assist with a tour to Los Angeles or Universal.

The last two times in Anaheim I've stayed at the Carousel Inn - a VERY short walk to the pedestrian crossing into Disneyland. Need to check on internet as to whether or not cheaper than Park Vue, but highly recommended. VERY close to McDonalds and Ihop restaurants too. From memory, tariff included light breakfast.
Decide how many days you'll spend in Disneyland (and California Park) and then buy that ticket, eg 3 days, buy 3 day ticket NOT 1 day tickets 3 days in a row! There's a good LA and Hollwood Tour ... I really think (if possible) you'd want a full day at Universal Studios, there's lots of rides there which waiting for obviously takes up time. Unless you're not a 'ride' type of family, then I think there's a combined LA and Universal Tour.
Re Airport shuttles and other tours, I'm an Aussie with 5 trips to USA under my belt and it never ceases to amaze me, the BETTER deals I get by making arrangements once there.
Enjoy, I know you will!

It has been awhile, so check on this hotel.
We stayed at Saga Inn, set up by an agent. IS across street from Disney. We actually got donuts in am from this hotel, and they sold tshirt (disney ones cheaper than the park). They also had trolley you could buy to get there.
But somehow, we missed trolley and walked to our hotel. Only thing , man, how big IS this parking lot!
The hotel is directly across from hotel.
Hope is still around!
Is was great deal. Clean, and kept nice. There were also shops on the street for eating. We had rental car but a taxi ride would be short, since I remember few right down a couple blocks.
