Disneyland's Frontierland brings visitors into the Wild West. The land has a lot of character, but relatively few rides. Attractions include:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Of Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and the Mattherhorn, I consider this to be the most fun thrill ride in Disneyland. Riders are taken on a runaway train through mines and past falling rocks. If you're not totally focused on surviving the ride, take advantage of the great views of the park that are offered. This ride is great at dusk or night, when you can see Disneyland lit up, and when lines are very short.
Mark Twain or Columbia boats: For a calm midday break, take a ride on the three story Mark Twain steamboat or the colonial-style Columbia ship. Both take a slow path down a lazy river.
