Well to get the most out of the city, stop in here and grab what ever they have. They have lots of wonderful information available to sightsee Bakersfield and also have lots of info of many of the other town and cities in the area. Well worth the trouble:-)

The Supply Sergeant - Military Surplus
This store brought back alot of memories being in the service and growing up in one too! My dad was a supply sergeant for the Air Force and my mom the head supply clerk for the Army. So we had some really neat camping equipment to use. Everything had its purpose. As soon as I walked into the store the sights and smells brought back those memories. The store is very organized and they sell regular clothes for everyday use, plus they sell for farm or ranch work clothes too.
They have this really cool display out in the parking lot of historical military vehicles, tanks, and bombs. Pretty neat to see!
You can find the place if you get onto the Highway 58 and get off on Chester Avenue and head north.

This is my favorite place to see a movie, because it is always clean and the upkeep is wonderful. They keep the snackbar open and they are fast and efficent. They have 14 theatres in all, so plenty of entertainment going on here. I like coming here because there are restaurants nearby to enjoy and take in the scenery:-)
