The Old Indian
This statue was a symbol of Standard Jr. High for sometime. I surmise it was probably mascot for a local business around the 1930's and found a home at the school. Yet the school could not support it because they had built a new gym and regulations, and building codes could not support the statue anymore. So it sat in a storage yard for 17 years, until Ralph Rohlfing a local cowboy moved the Old Indian to his new home at his ranch and that is where he stood proudly for 47 years. He had to sell his ranch evenually and he made sure he would find the Old Indian another safe home. Now he stands on Alfred Harrel Hwy proudly again!
