Travel Tips for Beverly Hills

Have an Affaire, in the Gardens

by marinarena

Walking on the beautiful, scenic grounds in the park Affaire in the Gardens, Fall 2006

Some companions and I went to the fall Affaire in the Gardens event, at Beverly Gardens Park , which is off Santa Monica Blvd. It was a clear, gorgeous day of viewing various artistic creations and strolling. At the Affaire, one can purchase art (including painting, scuplture and jewelry among other artwork) from local artists who attend the event. There is also food and wine tasting, live music and some arts and crafts.

How's the weather?

by icunme

Beverly Hills enjoys nearly perfect weather; almost year-round sunshine; an average of 15 inches of rainfall recorded annually, none of it between May and October; and an average high daily temperature of 75 F (24 C).
Winter (January-March) - 45-65 F (7-18 C)
Spring (April-June) - 53-77 F (11-25 C)
Summer (June-September) - 61-83 F (16-28 C)
Fall (October-December) - 60-77 F (15-25 C)

No smoking enforced by owners and patrons

by icunme

If you smoke where it is prohibited you can expect not only the owner but other patrons to call your attention to the law - patrons will be polite - Beverly Hills residents will not.
As is true throughout California, smoking is not permitted in restaurants, bars, theaters, auditoriums, museums, or most other public buildings.

Public park - Beverly Hills style

by icunme

Roxbury Park - Just a lovely public park - great facilities for families and all ages - great fun for kids - you can reserve table/bar-b-que for gatherings by calling Roxbury Park Community Center (# below) - sterling senior activities - tennis and basketball courts - local youth soccer/baseball games.

ROUTE 66: Tip 60 - Put it away its disgusting

by sourbugger

"What piece of sleaze are you goung to tell me about now ?, it seems you have read up about every dodgy going on around here"

"Well it's not as if you are short of scandal in a place like this. The park over there, the Will Rogers park, opposite the posh Hotel contains a toilet block, and one very embrassed British singer from Hertfordshire"

"I got that one in a 'flash' - Its where George Michael was caught out wafting his tackle about, isn't it ?"

"I'm afraid so. Perhaps it should be re-named the 'Will Roger ?' Park !"

"You have no taste"
