Since we decided to go up there for the night at the last minute we had no time to research the accomodations. A quick search on the internet found this place, the Big Bear Frontier Lodge, and it turned out to be just fine. It's basically a sprawling complex of motel rooms and cabins, nestled between Big Bear Lake and the village.

Our double room had two queen beds and a fireplace which was nice. The room may have been a tad worn here and there, not much though. Really it's the location that makes it a nice choice, something to be said for being greeted by that awesome view of the lake when you walk out the door in the morning. And the town is just a 5 minute walk away. They have a really helpful website.

Remember, price below is per person. We three shared a room for $79.
