LAX to Camarillo transport services

by madhurBA

I am planning a trip to the United States next month.
I will arrive at LAX and will travel to a place somewhere in Camarillo. Since I don't know too much about the places, I will prefer a cab service for the drop-off.

Please suggest which is the best service provider around the area. It will be great to see some suggestions!!!! Thanks in advance.....

There are several shuttle companies, e.g. central coast shuttle - Ventrua is a little farther North, but if you call they may make a stop in Camarillo for you as it is along the way. "Route: Runs to Santa Maria & Buelton. They also drop off in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Buellton, Solvang area, Santa Maria. It picks up under the green sign at all terminals where it says buses and long distance vans. Timings: It departs LAX at 0900, 1201, 1500, 1900 and 2200. Cost: One way to Santa Maria $65. Travel Time: Transfer time to Santa Maria or Bueltton about 3.5hrs. In adition to the above, they run luxury mini-buses. Contact: Call 1 800 470-8818, (805) 928 1977 or call free from the courtesy phones in baggage claim."

Cab (Taxi) service will cost about four times more than the shuttle vans that go to Camarillo. I have used Roadrunner Shuttle Service in the same direction and know that they do go to Camarillo. They will take you right to the door of where you want to go and pick up when you want to be at the arrival teminal at LAX. Check their rates and reservations at website: https://www.rrshuttle.com/user/Reservation.aspx

Agree with Travelgourmet. Check both Roadrunner and Super Shuttle as well as Prime Time prices.

Prices will be per person. All three of us live close to Camarillo, so we could direct you further if need be.

Whaha. you tres mousketeers have totally chased off the original poster!!!

If you come back to your post, yes, what they have said is the best. Those van services is your best option. Forget your idea of a cab.

Travel Tips for Camarillo

Camarillo- in transit to Channel Islands

by abi_maha

"Camarillo- some details"

Camarillo is located in the eastern Oxnard Plain, with the Santa Susana Mountains to the north, the Camarillo Hills to the northwest, the Conejo Valley to the east, and the western reaches of the Santa Monica Mountains to the south. We chose to stay here since it was very close to the Channel Islands National Park and we were on a quest to see some whales! :)

As we set off we noticed some pumpkin fields and it was very refreshing to see agriculture that was less mechanized and more labor intensive. Tractors and farmers reminded us of the traditional ploughing techniques used in India and a friend and fellow traveller recounted her days of tractor driving and fertilizer experiences back in Madurai in India :)

"Our comfortable stay"

We stayed at Good night lodge just behind the Camarillo Outlet Mall. It was a comfortable hotel and the staff was really helpful. However the 'free breakfast' consisted of only some mini muffins and coffee so we had to head otu for breakfast anyways. We also didn't have free internet, so our breakfast choice was always Panera Bread in the mall that gave us great food and the internet for our itinerary planning. To top it all Adhi (a friend who was travelling with us) was a loyalty member with Panera and hence we got a buck off of our beverage order! :)

"The Premium Outlet Mall"

This place is huge, so plan to spend atleast a full day if you want to shop at the Camrillo Premium Outlet Mall
