Great Bargain and fairly close
OK, this is not the Marriott. But so what, you are in California. You should be spending all your time outdoors anyway. A motel is just the place to drop off luggage. Fine, clean and cheap. Near the beach and downtown. What more do you need?

Motel 6 carpinteria South or north
Hello
We are on a tight budget but determined to have a summer vacation. We are therefore going to the expensive Carpinteria with our 2 teenage sons.
I see 2 Motel 6 in carpinteria. does anyone know if motel 6 south is correct? They offer queen size beds but north does not.
Which one is better, motel 6 north or south?
I would appreciate any information. Thank you kindly

South is a bit better. It is a long 4 blocks walk to the beach however. Easy walk to supermarket and a few fast-food restaurants, Starbucks, drugstore. There is a golf driving range nearby.

Thanks for the previous info. We are going during the 4th of July weekend and a lot of other hotels are booked solid.

South is a good one. I've stayed there with my family and it is close to everything. Although, as the other person said, it is a bit of a walk to the beach. Good dining options are Cajun Kitchen for breakfast and The Palms for dinner. Unless, of course, you are going into Santa Barbara. Then you have a multitude of options. Enjoy!

Thank you for your reply. I had made a tentative reservation in both and will keep the south one.
The food bit is also great because food is an important part of our trip.
