Carson Doubletree Hotel
Formerly the Hilton, now the Doubletree:
My daughter and I spent 4 nights at the Carson Doubletree Hotel 08/14/07-08/18/07. Found that rates on Doubletree/Hilton website were slightly lower priced and more flexible than Expedia, Orbitz or Travelocity. We reserved a 2 queen bed, non-smoking room. The room was modern, well maintained and a good size. I found the bed and pillows (5 pillows per bed) to be especially comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and well stocked with Neutrogena toiletries which my daughter enjoyed. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful, although the bellman/guest services person who ran the shuttle, baggage room, etc was hard to track down half the time I needed him. Room service was fast and relativley inexpensive (same menu as on site restaurant). Food was decent. Lobby sports bar was comfortable with tv's everywhere providing different sports coverage. Starbucks coffee, smoothies and pastries also available in the lobby. Overall a clean, modern, well maintained hotel. Area felt safe and was close to many types of restaurants and shopping. Only a short drive from the Home Depot Center. If the shuttle driver is available they will drop you off there, helping you avoid the parking lots. They might also pick you up if it is before 8pm. I would recommend this hotel to families, business people or anyone going to a function at the Home Depot Center.
