The Century Plaza is a beautiful Hyatt hotel right on the border of Century City and Beverly Hills. When I would run in the morning, I'd reach Rodeo Drive in 15 minutes, so that's how close you are to that landmark! The location is right off Santa Monica Blvd. The check-in desk was extremely fast and friendly, so I got up to my room right away. The bathroom was decorated in black marble, so it was a little dark, but that's about the only nit I can pick. There's a balcony available to look out over when you're in the mood, and everything is kept fairly spotless. There also was a large flat screen TV for a little time to unwind at the end of the day. I didn't get to try to spa or pool. For dining options, there's one restaurant in the hotel, and there are several other choices at the mall that is just across the street (ranging from food court up to steak restaurant.) The mall also has a grocery store, which is open late and has decent prices.
The one complaint I have was that my room was above the X-bar, and they had patio entertainment in the evenings. It was a little on the loud side.
As you can tell from many of my other tips, this sort of hotel is way above the type I usually stay at. I was very impressed, but keep that in mind!
