I always enjoy going to the fair! Here in SoCal, we are fortunate to have a couple of very good fairs each year. The Los Angeles County Fair is one of the largest fairs in the country. The Orange County Fair isn't quite as big but I enjoy it because it's not too big and you have a bigger variety of things to see. Most fairs are kind of a trade show to sell you products but there are some things to learn and observe.

There was a very nice bonsai exhibit that was very interesting to see. It's just amazing how these trees are so small yet in natural nature can be absolutely huge!
Each year, the OC Fair has gardens planted by various groups such as 4H. The vegetables are just about ripe during the time of the fair.
This was a pottery making demonstration. I'm not sure if they just let anybody have a go at it. I would have liked to try if I wasn't worried about getting dirty. Looks like messy hobby.
One of the best things to do at a fair is eat! Here are turkey legs being barbecued. My boyfriend ate one and he enjoyed it.
I opted for the gigantic corn dog. I couldn't finish it because I also ordered the fried zuchini which I also couldn't finish.
