Another great view of the Battery Point lighthouse! The tide was out on this visit...so we got some good shots!
One should note that this is an active lighthouse and a family lives in and maintains the operations! So visit only at posted times!

Watch the sea lions from Pebble Beach

Instead of hanging out on "busy" south beach, drive down Pebble Beach Drive and walk down to the beach from there. You'll see a long stretch of sand from the road with a bunch of large rocks off the shore a ways. From the beach you can hear the sea lions making a racket and one even swam up to the shore to check us out. Plus, there were NO people there.

"A LITTLE BIT OF ORGAN"

THIS TRIP WENT TO GRANTS PASS TO HAVE SOME DINNER AND JUST TO SEE THE COUNTRY SIDE WE ARRIVED A LITTLE BEFORE DARK , IT SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE THE CAVES WE SAW SOME SIGNS BUT IT WAS GETTING DARK AND FOG STARTED GETTING THICK, SO WE HEADED BACK TO CRESCENT CITY.

"Really close to Oregon!"

Crescent City is a small town of about 5,000 located on (near) the California / Oregon border! It is a very laid back community the is literally situated on the Pacific Coast. In other words....tons of beach access. Lots of people head up here for surfing, beachcombing, hiking in the Redwoods, or to just get a room at the beach! This photo is taken at the jetty! Looks like it goes on forever...I am not sure how far it goes...the waves can leap over and take you off into the ocean! YIKES!!
