KOA Campground Crescent City

Clean, quiet and very charming. Camp owners/staff were friendly, engaging and eager to ensure our stay was happy and memorable. This camp site is well situated between many activities. Oregon Caves, Smith River, Trees of Mystery, beaches and of course.... Redwoods. This campground is nestled amidst beautiful Redwoods, ferns, wild berries of many varieties and depending which side of our camper we looked through, breathtaking views of Redwood forest. We saw wild Elk, seals, fresh water otters, Banana Slugs, many sea urchins and deer. Our children said they enjoyed every minute. Home base here and rent/bring a car. My family and I are from San Diego and visited this KOA for the first time. We will definitely return. Crescent City itself is no San Diego or LA beach city so donot expect this. If coastal California from the 1940's or 1950's is what your looking for, this is it. There are not many left, so hurry before it is gone.

Unique Quality: Five star courtesy, cleanliness and service. Many amenities for our children (ages 5, 10, 14). The kids loved the pancake breakfasts, bands and arcade. Fishing and tubing on the pristine Smith River is first rate.
