 I AM UPDATING THIS TIP AS OF SEPTEMBER 2009.
When I first saw this hotel and stayed here in 2002, it was the first day of operation and was still completely empty except for us. I stopped by this time during my visit to Hope Springs next door. The place seeemed quite rundown compared to how it was previously. Apparently it's now run as a korean spa and one guest at Hope told me that she had trouble trying to book it when she didn't speak korean. Apparently it's run down on the inside as it has become on the outside. I must admit that this review is imperfect, but you might want to check other reviews and ask around before booking. These guests also had mentioned that they had stayed here and were not favorably impressed. The 'personal hot pool' seemed to be a hand dug puddle, covered in concrete.

Emerald Springs Resort. A wonderful 50's retro Spa. Still unfinished when we visted, this place was an incredible oasis. 3 mineral rich hot pools. Beautiful simple rooms outfitted in 50's retro style. Comfortable big futons. Beautiful plants, pools and fountains.

We were literally the only people in the place and were treated extremely well with a sumptuous breakfast, free cocktail hour, and even enjoyed the state of the art DVD movie room.

This place will certainly not remain undiscovered for long. You heard it here first from G$.
$85 mid week and $125 weekend for room with two double beds. Breakfast Included.
