Serene Sanctuary
by A TripAdvisor Member
It is difficult to imagine being in this cradle of tranquility for more than a few moments and not feel infused by the transparent silk of the mineral spa and soothing climate of this serene sanctuary. Likewise, the heart space created by Judy and Jeff Bowman surround each visitor with that rare type intuitive intelligence and grace bestowed upon precious few. Lucky the guest who discovers this unique environment so deeply dedicated to the gentle harmony between nature and human kind which ultimately correspond to the purest refinement of well being and radiance.
Now more options in Palm Sprigns area

My wife and I recently returned from a great 3-day, 2-night stay at LWS. We have previously visited Desert Shadows and Terra Cotta Inn and now we are happy to add Living Waters to our list of great places to stay in Palm Springs. The rooms are really nice and everything is brand new. The owners/hosts are fabulous. Also the other guests were very friendly and it was nice to have real conversations with people we met while there. These types of resorts always supply us with great friendships that carry on well beyond Palm Springs.I would put this place on par with Terra Cotta. Both places provide a great relaxing escape from the regular world. It's nice to be able to pick from two preferred places now as TCI is very busy and hard to get into. LWS had a good crowd too, and I'm sure it will be booked solid in no time.GB
Very cool place

As first timers to a clothing optional resort, we were very pleased at the new experience we had at Living Waters Spa. Jeff and Judy were the best hosts we could have imagined, making us feel right at home. We were surprised how easy it is to talk to total strangers, in the nude, and how we easily joked and talked around the shaded spa while eating cheese and drinking wine, all provided at no extra charge, by our gracious hosts. The details that went into this remodeled old motel were evident everywhere we looked, especially in the rooms. Everything was new, clean and very comfortable. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and just strolling out to the pool, grabing a coffee and danish, and sitting in the warm sun, all in the buff. This is an intimate, romantic place, and we will be back soon! We highly recommend Living Waters Spa.
Day visit to Living Waters Spa
by A TripAdvisor Member
We were looking for a weekend away from stress, traffic and whatever else is out there that annoys us. We heard of hot springs in the Palm Springs area and decided to see what it was all about. After discovering that some places were clothing optional, we decided to narrow our selection to these places. Every place was full for a Saturday night stay and the only place that had "day use" available was Living Waters Spa. Day use is an alternative if they don't have any rooms available. So, that was our selection, not knowing what was ahead of us. I spoke to Jeff to reserve our day trip and determined that he was a very pleasant person (I lost my cell phone connection with him twice, and he was still willing to talk to me). We showed up at about 11AM. At first, I was a little disappointed, because I thought the place would be bigger (9 units). I then met Jeff who was as friendly as I expected. We later met Judy, and I determined that Jeff is a lucky man. It took awhile, but I realized why the place is small: It was so Jeff and Judy could give the proper attention to ALL of their guests! This is not a faceless hotel conglomerate whose purpose is to take your money. Their purpose was to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. This is a very quiet and relaxing place, even with the (very courteous) patrons having conversations about the pool and spa. There's no traffic noise (probably because there's no traffic). Some quiet music is played in the background. But the main attraction is the pool and spa. I kept going back and forth between the two, and it felt wonderful. It has something to do with the mineral water. I won't try to explain it, you will have to experience it. You can make friends or not, there's no pressure here. Read all of the other posts, because they are accurate. I only wanted to add my experience to what those posts didn't address. Their website and brochures say to leave your children at home. I like kids, but I think this is a place for adults to get away. Mike
Like no other you imagine

Before I go any further, I will say this: my wife and I are not nudists or swingers or anything close, we are in fact very conservitive people in our 40's, and I am very active in both work, and sports (read surfing). So I was looking for a place to just get away from the "busy-ness" in our lives. We both enjoy laying out in the back yard without clothes just because it is comfortable. We've been to a clothing optional beach and enjoy it, but she 'deals' with the wandering eyes there.
What we were looking for was a relaxing quiet place to gel and get away, and be able to hang by a pool nude, without any party atmosphere...more to a point...that it fostered relaxation. This place, Living Waters, was absolutely perfect. No TV's radios, kids... whatever. They had very cool background relaxation music going around the pool and was perfect to just close your eyes to just relax. I read alot, when we felt like it, we talked with some people about things of interest. Their write up on their website is dead-on... people are just comfortable without clothes because it's just that...comfortable. It's kind of wierd to say it, but you just get used to it.
The rooms: We only stayed one night (Sunday). We were encouraged to show up anytime...we were shooting for 10 a.m., but it turned out to be 11. No problem hung out by the pool, and got our room around 1. The next day we stayed til 2:30 ( we had just had enough sun and didn't want to over-do it ), but we were made very welcome to stay until 5...no extra charge for extra time... a very welcoming atmosphere. The whole place was refurbished, but they kept the 'retro' look 'cuz the place dates back. They did it very nice. I hate hotels....always have, always will. These rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the bed is killer. Nothing elaborate, but a very nice comfortable bed with great sheets, blankets, and a comforter with plenty of pillows in a nice frame. Our room had a kitchen, which we used only for drinks...we mix our own fruit juice and carbonated water, so the refridgerator was nice. Very nicely supplied kitchen, even though we didn't use it much otherwise otherwise. It had the plastic wine glasses for wine at night. The towels in the bathrooms were so plush it's obscene. This was one of those things you might not otherwise hear, I only point it out so you get an idea of the detail they used in setting this place up. I will say this...the shower head height was made for midgets. I'm 6'4" and have this problem everywhere, so I say it tongue in cheek.
We went at the end of April, and they had only been open for 6 or 7 months. They are new to this business, but you can tell they are putting together a place they would have liked to visit themselves.
We were looking for a quiet comfortable place to catch some sun and quiet where 2 non-nudists could go and enjoy not wearing clothes. This is the perfect place. Period. We will go back....I'm a cheap [---], and this place is worth it.
2 last things...1) I normally never leave an e-mail on a posting like this, but I did here because this place is for real, and so am I. If you sound like us, and have honest questions, I will answer them. I will never want to meet you, and don't care who you are. 2) If you do go to this place and like mexican food, there is a place 8 minutes away that is worth going to. It's called Casa Banca. I may have had better mexican food, but I honestly can't remember when. When you walk in, you kind of glance at plates as you are going to your table...everything I saw look like it killed. My woman had bacon wrapped shrimp and it was .....reeeeeaaaall good. I think it was 10 or 12 bucks. Try it.
Fabulous Weekend

We stayed a weekend at Living Waters Spa and I can not say enough about the facility. Jeff and Judy have made this a welcoming oasis. I work a very demanding and stressful job and this was just what I needed. The massages we received were some of the best either of us has ever had. Even if you don't normally do massage, DONT PASS THIS UP! In fact, now that I'm typing this it makes want to go back I think I'll call for day use!
Warm and wonderful

We could tell from the vintage neon sign that this place would be a little different. It is simply the friendliest place to go relax. The vibe there is so welcoming and yet not intrusive. The owners have revamped all of the rooms for minimal interference from the real world. You won't find telephones or televisions. You will find a clean comfortable room just a couple of steps away from the deck chairs and mineral water pool. First time naturists would do well to try this place. Couples who want to be left alone get the solitude they want with soft music lightly playing around the pools. The snack time (3:00 PM) tends to bring all the guests in close proximity just enough to comfortably meet and mingle while sitting in or near the mineral water spa. And the massage therapy is another great reason to visit.
I found Paradise!

The experience from the start to the end can only be described as "absolutelty incredible. It is hard to put into words but I dream about my next visit. I thought my girlfriend and I could not get any closer but after visiting LWS we became one. What a feeling! Jeff and Judy are real professionals, but it goes beyond that. They put you at ease the second they greet you at the door. Living Waters Spa is a "must Stop" for anyone visiting the west coast. I am almost afraid to give a review because the word will get out and we will never get back in again!
Thanks Jeff and Judy......Warren Sims
Anniversary at LWS

We planned a trip for our 33rd aniiversary, first to the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas, then for three days at Living Waters Spa. Jeff and Judy have upgraded an old motel and made it very contemporary and comfortable. The water is silky and invigorating. Their massage was a great relaxer. And their hospitality was wonderful.
Good selection for breakfast in the morning, then wine and cheese at 3 PM. We sampled some of the local restaurants that were suggested and were not disappointed. All in all, we had a very relaxing time Au Naturale, and are glad we met Jeff and Judy, who are now friends. We'll be back.
