Great hotel in the right spot. Close by to Napa Valley wine country without the high prices for lodging. Sitting only a couple of blocks from the I-80 which runs from San Francisco through Sacramento and all points east, the Holiday Inn Express is a well kept, well serviced hotel with newspaper at your door in the morning, deluxe continental breakfast in the spacious breakfast area, to "just baked" cookies in the evening amenities. The staff are very helpful with all your questions regarding the area and try to please you at all times. All the well known fast food restaurants and gasoline stations are within a few blocks, as well as a miniature golf complex.
I know that some of you may say, "Why stay in Fairfield?", and it is a fair question. First, it is the mid point to San Francisco and Sacramento, two major cities worth exploring. The dining in Fairfield has a little bit of everything from snacks to gourmet. A great shopping center. Close by to Napa and the wine valley. I enjoyed the area and even took a side trip to the University of California, Davis to visit the campus. I shall return to Fairfield.
Unique Quality: One great amenity for VTers. Use of a computer room with free usage so you can keep in touch or get maps to locations nearby. No matter what others may say, this it the place to stay. Why? Key location.
Directions: Near the I-680 and I-80 junction. Take the Suisun Valley Rd Exit on the I-80, turn onto Pittman Road. Only 1mile to the Napa Valley off ramp of the I-80 westbound and 5 miles to the shopping complex in Fairfield.
