More about Embassy Suites Anaheim South / Disneyland Resort

We stayed at the Embassy...

by KLomaskin

We stayed at the Embassy Suites, South Lake Tahoe. It is a beautiful property, well-managed, and a FANTASTIC breakfast buffet which is included in the room price.
Rooms are free with Hilton Honors frequent traveler points Pool, Hot Tub, Parking Garage, Ski shop on the premises, full-service hotel. Shuttle to Ski areas stops by frequently. Adjacent to Nevada casinos.

Highly recommend

Embassy Suites South Anaheim was great spot to stay for Disneyland trip. Room was clean, modern, comfortable, large. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free cooked breadkfast was tasty and quick on weekdays - horrendous line on weekend though. Great to get cooked breakfast, although same menu every day got a little old... the only truly made to order part was the omlettes, although they would make custom Mickey-shaped pancakes when they weren't too busy. Pool area was adjacent to parking lot - I never could find photos of it so wasn't sure what to expect - but was nice nonetheless, raised up high enough that you didn't feel like you were swimming with the cars. Pool was large, somewhat warm, and hot tub was very nice. Shuttle to Disney was quick - about 10 minutes - and came about every 1/2 hour, but took a break at lunch time, so plan accordingly.

One warning - the suites are all set up with 2 rooms, the front room is the living area with fold out couch, the bedroom is in the back. The bedroom was very quiet, but the front room could be quite noisy - the open atrium architecture meant that even minimal noise in the lobby/eating area echoed loudly even to our 9th floor room. If there are any light sleepers in your party, beware not to plan on having them in the front room!

We would stay there again

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful exterior and lobby of this hotel! Our 1 bedroom suite was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for our family of 5. The free breakfast buffet was very good and the 'manager's reception' in the evening was a nice bonus. The free slushies were a huge hit!! The pool and hot tub were nice and clean and a welcome treat after a day of walking around Disneyland. The room service was quick but the food was not very good - cold and overcooked! The service in the hotel was hit and miss. The air conditioning stopped working in our room - we asked in the morning at the front desk to have someone go and look at it - that evening it still hadn't been done. Apparently maintainance hadn't even been notified - so we asked the night desk clerk and he had someone come up first thing the next morning to fix it. Our biggest complaint was the noise!! The walls must be made of very thin material We could clearly hear the conversations in the room next to us. Also whenever someone knocked on one of the doors next to us - it sounded just like our door. If you have children who are light sleepers this would not be the hotel for you! We used the ART shuttle a few times and we walked other times - the mile walk took us about 20 minutes - about the same amount of time the shuttle takes. Overall we really enjoyed our stay - we would certainly stay there again as the positives well outweighed any negatives.

Great value & convienent

Great property. Friendly staff. Hilton has excellent online rate for this hotel cost like $110 a night booking direct online in early October. I asked for a room facing the disney park and we were able to look out and see the fireworks on weekend nights very nice option as our 7yr old had enough disney by end of the day. The pool was plain but perfect and nice clean jacuzzi and clean towels. Great thing about this hotel is it was set back from the main street so no road noise and more private. the atrium setting was wonderful and my child loved watching the fish. Breakfast were hot and good and self service mostly which was great saved a ton of time // we enjoyed the managers reception having a cocktail and snack and being able to have our child there also enjoying popcorn and a fun slushie then going for a swim was perfect way to relax. Ample restaurants within walking distance. 1st night we were tired so later I walked to the italian restaurant in the parking lot and got an order to go nice to have dining table in the room.
We drove our rental car to disney each day it was only 1.5 miles and worked out I felt better than the shuttle although our friends took them and liked it.
This Hotel is so new and nicely decorated the bathroom is deluxe lovely granite and shower worked well. for kids the pull out couch worked but was small and thin mattress. Oh, but the king bed was very comfortable and good pillows as well I am recommending hotel to all my friends.

Loved the Embassy!!!!

Just back 3 days but had to put in my two cents about the Embassy Garden Grove!!

What a wonderful hotel! Such a beautiful lobby and atrium area. We really felt like we were in the best of the best.

Breakfast and manager's reception were both fantastic. Plenty of choices at breakfast and super service at the evening reception.

Our room was more than comfortable (although we didn't spend much awake time in it......we were at the parks 90% of the time) with comfortable beds and pull outs. The bathroom was luxurious and big enough for everyone to get ready in the morning.

I noticed another review that commented on the state of the hallways. Yes, there was sometimes popcorn in the halls but I would think that if the other guests treated the hotel like their home this would not have been an issue. I found the staff cleaned up this type of mess as quickly as they could.

I really want to comment on the terrific service and patience of the hotel staff. We really noticed how rude and demanding a lot of the other guests were and we were very impressed how the Embassy staff handled themselves when dealing with this type of customer. Bravo!!

Excellent.

Best room we have stayed in anywhere - very large room with 2 double beds, table and 4 chairs, 2 TV's, sofa area, kitchenette and bathroom. Shuttle bus to theme parks. Would recommend this hotel - very impressed. All positives - no negatives.

Ideal For a Family

by TripAdvisor Member Steve

My wife, children aged 15 and 11 and myself spent 4 days at the Embassy Suites Hotel in December. The rooms are large, very well presented and immaculately clean and the 4 of us were easily able to avoid tripping over each other. The bathroom is also large and luxurious. The hotel serves a great breakfast, certainly too much for someone like me who normally survives on cereal and a soy milk, but the children indulged themselves.

The hotel also has a first class gym and pool, and the ground floor restaurant can do a very reasonably priced meal for those who, like us, didn't feel like going out looking for somewhere to eat after an exhausting day at Disneyland. I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel and it certainly paid off.

Great experience! Good service

by TripAdvisor Member greeneee

Friendly service, great breakfast. Beds were OK, not great, but rooms spacious, happy hour was nice with popcorn, snacks and free soft drinks. Reasonable prices for the on the premises restaurant. Pizza deal for large pizza for family only 14.99. Highly recommend. Shuttle was $3/per person, kids free.

Australia to Embassey Suites - Loved it - Great for familys

by A TripAdvisor Member

We had a great family holiday at the embassy suites. Our 2 boys aged 10 & 8 had a ball. Our day always started with a big breakfast before heading off to disneyland. The kids loved all the bacon and doughnuts.

We had a couple of swims in the pool, which is nice and clean.

For dinner we found a very nice family run Mexican Restaurant within 200m. Go out the front, turn right down to the traffic lights cross over and is in the small group of shops where the Pizza Hut takeaway is.

We also had some food delivered on a couple of nights after some tiring days of walking. One of them was some of the best Chinese we have had.

We would love to go back in a few years, the rooms were very spacious. With 2 double beds and a sofa bed. We booked on line and got some good rates.

A Great Place to Stay in Anaheim

by TripAdvisor Member cjlawson56

We stayed there about one year ago for the USA National Cheer Competition. The hotel was sold out and mostly populated by cheer competition participants and their families. Despite the crowds, everything was well cared for and clean. Elevators were a bit slow but then again, the place was packed! The rooms are very generously sized with great bathrooms and a fridge and microwave are always a plus. All prior comments on the breakfast buffet were accurate plus there are trays available if you'd like to take breakfast up to your room. This is nice if someone doesn't want to dress for breakfast or is running late and needs to get ready and eat at the same time. Evening reception was a nice way to unwind and since our whole team was staying there, parents enjoyed drinks while the kids swam, rested or just ran around. Used the shuttle several times to go to the Anaheim Convention Center. The fee was a small price to pay to avoid traffic and parking hassles. We'll be back the weekend of 4/1 for this year's cheer competition.
