There's really not a whole lot to do in Guerneville other than RELAX! Several restaurants and bars in town have live music and dancing. Really, this is a small tourist town, catering to Northern Californians.

Feed the ducks

There are lots of ducks living on the river. Many are quite tame. We were tossing them sunflower seeds all through the jazz festival. Quite a few were happy to take them directly from your hand. Very cool!

Playing on the river

Kayaking and canoeing! I mean, you've been reading the tips on Guerneville, haven't you? :-) A kayak, canoe, whatever. A small cooler is always good, too, filled with whatever you want to eat or drink. A bathingsuit is a good idea too, of course. Sunscreen!!

My suggestions for wine

If you like Pinor Noir - try Davis Bynum! Small winery, great service and awesome wine!

Hop Kiln is nice for its' scene, but I find the wine just ok.

RoShamBo has moved down the street (couldn't afford the rent anymore).

Russian River Hijinks

What more can you ask for? Growing up and living in the Bay Area, Guerneville provides a fun backyard playground. Not only do you find yourself in the neighborhood of some of California's best wineries, the Russian River brings all the activities that keep you cool. Rent a canoe in Forestville and spend the day paddling to Johnson's Beach where a bus will bring you back. Camp at one of the several campgrounds along the river. Stop at Korbel for their interesting and tasty tour. Walk through age old Redwoods at Armstrong Redwood Grove. Eat at any of the characteristic restaurants in the area. Or just hang out on the beach.

There's something for everything in this little town that bursts with visitors every weekend.
