Half Moon Bay Inn: A very unpleasant night's sleep
When we entered the lobby it appeared to be very nice. We were able to check in a little early. The front desk staff showed us up to the room which is very nice but it was very warm and there is no air conditioning. Nevertheless it wasn't too bad at that time with the windows open. We dropped our belongings off and left to explore.
We returned later to shower and prepare for a night out. Shower was fine.
We returned around 11pm and when we went into our room it seemed hotter than the afternoon. The windows were open and we now notice that our room is right over the roof of a restaurant (building is same as the hotel) and the kitchen. The air conditioning unit for the restaurant was right under our window and kept me up most of the night. Just when it seemed I feel asleep, staff at the restaurant start opening at 4:45am, banging plates and pots/pans! It almost seemed they were trying to make noise!
I am not sure how the other rooms are. We stayed in #6. I don't think I would try any of the other rooms.

Half Moon Bay State Beach: Half Moon Bay State Beach (RV Camping)
I would recommend this campground to anyone. It is literally an underhand stone's throw to the ocean. Also, the beach is covered with slimy blue thingamajigs that I like to collect.
One of the closest RV parks to the beach I've ever stayed at.
