Half Moon Bay is a charming little town just outside San Francisco. Bay Area residents looking for a weekend getaway, or just a day trip, should come visit. It's also a good place to stop while travelling between the Bay Area and Santa Cruz.

The beach is one of California's most beautiful, especially at sunset. It's one of California's nicest state parks.

"Pillar Point Harbor"

An easy and beautiful ride along the Coast finds you in Half Moon Bay. Many small towns dot the coastline, one of the most interesting of which is Pillar Point. Here you can walk out on the docks and buy fresh fish as the fishermen return from their day's catch. There are some great seafood restaurants, from fish shacks to breweries. You can walk along sandy coves or head out to the headland and see the ocean.
