Sommerset Suites Hotel!: "Uptown" San Diego

The Sommerset is at the northern end of Hillcrest, close to everything and an easy trip to the freeways and to downtown SD. A small hotel that offers one bedroom suites for a little more than $100.00 as well as the typical studio for about ten dollars less. They do offer discounts so check their website for those and for the current prices.

The coziness is a plus and it's proximity to the shops and restaurants in Hillcrest makes this a good choice while staying in San Diego.

One of the most important amenities of this hotel is the free parking. I shouldn't forget it offers convenient access to major roads and freeways. It is four miles from the airport and about two miles from downtown SD.

They offer complimentary continental breakfast, evening social hour, on-site barbecue facilities, free high-speed wireless Internet access and naturally a pool and a spa besides the usual amenities.

Another consideration is that this hotel offers Extended Stay options for those stopping in San Diego longer than a week or few days.
