It always seems that the most expensive hotel I stay at on trips turns out to be the worst value. Here, we had to use this hotel because all the other ones were either booked or over our budget. This onewas going to be way over what we were willing to pay, but as we turned to leave they bartered with us. We ended up getting the "manager's special" - I'm not sure if it was because it was an unfinished room or just because they wanted the business. The closet door was locked shut with the air vent out, the A/C's lid was off, and the floor was lumpy. Also they didn't have a good continental breakfast like most others there - just prepackaged pastries.
Unique Quality: At least it was right on Sunset Blvd.

Great stay over for a few days just to acclimatize and get barings.
Rooms were basic and clean and had an iffy smell at first, but you got used to it- or sprayed stuff.
Didn't use the pool - IT WAS FEBRUARY!!
Enjoyed the Italian Restaurant across the road Great Location for Hollywood, and Sunset bvld. Cheap rooms, basic decor, there is an outdoor pool, and breakfast of do-nuts and coffee included every morning.
At least it was right on Sunset Blvd.

A: "This is an "OK" location, but not great. It is in North Hollywood, not Hollywood so you will need to either take the metro to drive to visit the "Strip". It looks like..."
