A Motel in La Jolla Village

Saw this place and thought it might be an economic solution while staying in La Jolla. The rates seem to run from $99.00 to $159.00 for a one bed room and the prices go up from there.. It seems like a simple motel and not a "luxury" accommodation, but it is only a few blocks from the "downtown" section of La Jolla, so might be a solution for your needs.

Of course, I haven't stayed here, but have recommended it serveral times without complaint. In fact if your primary consideration is the budget, you should be happy with this place too. If you are looking for the elegance and luxury of La Jolla, this is not the place to stay.

However, for those on a budget it can be the answer.

Unique Quality: They offer "very basic" standard amenities and free parking which is worth something in this part of La Jolla, free Continental breakfast and free newspaper.

They, "welcome clean, well-behaved pets" so mention yours when first contacting them, if you plan to bring yours. They charge extra for a pet and might have restrictions that don't work for you.

The temporary sign might mean that this place was in the process of changing hands, being renovated or having a name change so call before making your decision.

Update:

The name hasn't changed and though I don't know that it has changed hands, but have been told that the owners are locals, very friendly and they try to please their guests.
