Fantastic Service at Travelodge La Mesa

I had a fantastic stay at Travelodge La Mesa. The rooms were very clean and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The most impressive reflection of the Travelodge La Mesa is the staff. Each staff member was helpful, pleasant and smiling. The front desk has pre printed directions for any possible place we could want to go in the San Diego area. Directions to the local WalMart, beaches, attractions, shopping or popular resturaunts - all readily available. The staff also offered to print out our return boarding passes. We greatly appreciated such service!!

We, 8 of us, 2 families, spent a quite a long holiday, in CA USA. Our's first stop was Travelodge La Mesa and stayed there for 2 days. It was a nice places to stay. The stuff were really helpful and smiley. Nice breakfast for everyone , specially for kind. Actually Travelodge Le Mesa's breakfast was the best one among the other hotels we had stayed during our holiday.

What a fantastic stay my family and I had at this hotel! We have traveled quite a bit for both business and pleasure, and have never (yes I mean never) found a hotel or inn to equal the quality of service that this Travelodge offered . This trip to San Diego was a little business and pleasure. EVERY request that I made of this hotel was met expeditiously, and with a smile. In some cases the staff wouldn't even accept a tip from me, even though I offered. I must admit that puzzled me, as I was thinking it's custom is it not??? Why wouldn't they want a tip? Then it dawned on me that perhaps there is a little place left on earth where a job well done is reward enough for some?! Yes, this hotel wants to make sure your stay, is as comfortable as possible, and this will forever be my hotel whenever I am in San Diego. The only drawback to this great stay was the temperature of the hallways, other than that FANTASTIC!

Wow!!! This was a fantastic experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large, very clean, the beds were comfortable, with great ammenities. We were greeted with a basket of goodies and the included "bear bites" breakfast was a great way to start the day. The hotel was only a minute off the freeway and central to everything. There was a pool and a laundry room as well.
Unexpected and pleasant surprise the Travel Lodge in La Mesa, CA.

I wrote that title because I had had unpleasant experiences in some Travel Lodge around USA and they are not very well catalogued, but as soon as we entered in a nice and well decorated lobby, the personnel was very kind and very helpful in every aspect.
Our room was clean, spacious and well illuminated and the bathroom was impeccable.
I had a problem with the TV because I pushed a wrong button and when I called to the front desk and they came immediately with the best disposition to help.
Even the breakfast was continental; if you want you can prepare your own waffle.
I highly recommend this hotel; I believe it is one of the best of his kind.

I would have given this place a higher rating if they hadn't switched my room from a king to a double making my husband and I have to sleep in separate beds. However, the room was really big and had a small fridge, microwave, coffeemaker and a sink. The bathroom could be bigger, but I'm just being picky here. Everything at this hotel looks new and clean. The rooms on the street side can be a bit loud with the road noise. I'll definitely be staying here again. I will just call and request a top floor room facing away from the street. The price is great and it's not far from the zoo or sea world. There is a Starbucks in the Von's market around the corner, you could walk there easily.
