Romantic mid-price restaurant?

by ecodave

I hope to find a restaurant so wonderful that I better reserve now for Valentine's Day. I've spent my budget on accommodation and a show, so I need something reasonably priced ($20 entrees). I love ocean views. I would appreciate suggestions.

Since you are in Redondo, - this should be easy pal! Thinking ahead is a good way to stay out of the doghouse...heh heh....d:o)

Since we are all travellers, how about this one with African (Mozambiqe) menu. Not quite Mozambique, but ought to impress a lady. Did for me!

Click on the dinner menu and scroll down to the Mozambique part of the menu. The Seafood Curry and the Peri Peri Prawns are ummm tasty. Good luck, and welcome to VT....d:o)

At twilight time, through sunset and into the evening, this restaurant is decked out with lighting on the top of a hill overlooking Laguna Beach and the Pacific Ocean, sits Las Brisas Restaurant. Priced right for delicious Mexican Riviera dishes. This is not a chain run Mexican restaurant so I better send you off to the menu with their website. You will not be disappointed http://www.lasbrisaslagunabeach.com/

Travel Tips for Laguna Beach

Tidal pools at Laguna Beach

by 807Wheaton

When the tide is in at Laguna Beach you see the rocks near the shore. This area is a marine preserve. When the tide is out you can see the tidal pools. These are very interesting and quite a treat to see. It would be best to check the tide schedule in the newspaper or purchase a guide so that you can visit during low tide. We saw sea life that I had never seen before.
We experienced walking on the rocks right over the place where the sea had been a short time earlier. It was a first-time experience for me and one I will never forget.

Take a walk on the beach or on...

by LizC

Take a walk on the beach or on the bluff. Beautiful firework show on July 4th, it only take 15 mins to finish the US$30,000 firework, but it will take an hour or more to get out of the jam packed streets afterwards, it may be better to catch a movie at the theater across street from the Main Beach right after the firework, to avoid the traffic nightmare.

See the Natural Beauty!!

by marinarena

Well, you won't find it on some people laid out on the beach!!! In Laguna Beach, the Beverly Hills on the Beach that it is, there are a number of bodies created skillfully byplastic surgeries. But along the beach there is quite lovely assortment of flowers, as well as rare shells by the cliffs and trees with organic structure, like this one.

Art Festivals.

by Rachel

Laguna Beach is known as an art town or artists colony. In the summer there are a bunch of different art festivals. Sawdust Festival features local artists. You can get ceramics and tons of different kind of stuff (my brother had a ceramics booth). This is the most accessible $$$ wise. It's fun for kids, cause there's sawdust and music, and candy, and food (no ponies). Pageant of the Masters has live people posing as actual famous paintings. It's very popular and really cool. Festival of the Arts and others. Check it out. Get a calendar and support local artists!

Beach Art

by davequ

Laguna Beach is a very tightly controlled and "covenant-restricted" community, so I thought it was very cool of them to let local artists go freestyle all along the many cliff & sea walls on the beach.

This one is for no particular reason one of my favorites.
