Dubai, They've out done Las Vegas
"AN AMAZING PLACE"
Dubai is one of the most amazing cities in the world. My most recent trip was in September and honestly, it looked like they'e building New York City on the Persian Gulf. Skyscrapers everywhere, the most luxurious hotels in the world (and believe me I do know luxury hotels). Worlds largest indoor snow skiing facility (so big you cannot imagine...."Ski Dubai"). The most amazing water park on the planet, fabulous beaches, worlds tallest building (under construction) The Burj (160 stories) and the world's largest mall (Dubai Mall). Great food, great entertainment, very few restrictions, lively and open society mixed with the Arabian lifestyle as only Dubai people know how to demonstrate. A must see destination. Want to go skiing on sand dunes??? You can in Dubai, or Wadi Bashing (Landrover ride through creeks and sand dunes). Dubai is building the world's largest airport, some of which is already open. they have 2 big ice rinks (with 2 more on the way). The 5 largest malls in the world are located there (yes, bigger than the ones in Canada and USA). A great stop-over from Europe to Asia, even if you only have a couple of days...Don't miss it.
"Burj Al Arab Hotel"
Famous 7 star hotel built right in the water on a special man made island. This hotel is so exclusive, if you're not staying there, or have a confirmed dinner reservation, you cannot even get past the guards.
A must see if you're in Dubai. Hotel rates start around USD$2000 per night for this special hotel.
