Highly recommend!!
I stayed here on May 2012 for a weekend trip with my wife at Long Beach, CA. I booked this hotel through EXPEDIA. The front desk staff allowed early check-in; the rooms were extremely clean and smelled very fresh! The room was cool, with the A/C set at a nice cold temp like I like it, with a few lamps on so that I don't walk into a dark room -- excellent! Other hotels should do this. I didn't see any dust, dirt, dingy towels-nothing. Beds were great and we slept very comfortably. There was Restaurants on the hotels which was clean and server with tasty food. The fitness area was first rate. My highest recommendation!

Nice location
I would recommend staying here just because of the location. It is close to the Convention Center, within walking distance. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance to choose from as well. During the evening (and possibly during the day, I don't know because I was at a conference) there is a little Farmer's Market with crafts and other goods as well. The Convention Center is right on the water, so this hotel is not far from the water either. Although it is so close to many things, it is not noisy. The area is rather quiet at night. They have a heated pool.
Unique Quality: The best things about this hotel are the price and the location. Other than that, it is your basic hotel, nothing fancy.
