Moderate Price

This hotel/Inn is convenient for us, as it was close to the convention we had to attend too. It's location is in the centre or heart of LA. It is surrounded by many historical bldgs. Chinatown is few minutes away and walking distance to the Convention Center.

Unique Quality: The staff are very helpful and hotel rooms are daily cleaned, at nights about 6pm they shake the pillows and freshen the towels.

A Chance Discovery In A Coupon Book

Los Angeles Adventurer-All Suites-Hotel/Backpacker’s Paradise
$44.46 for the night with coupon from the 'Travel Coupon Guide' a nifty little book which can be found at Denny's Restaurants offering discounts on accommodations in California, Utah, Arizona and Nevada.

The advertisement for the Los Angeles Adventurer offered a discounted price of $39.00+tax per night for the hotel. There were no other charges added.

Unique Quality: What can you expect for $39.00 a night?

Located right on the street--which is not charming at all--there was little room to maneuver a car into the registration parking area and the parking facilities, though secured with electronic gates, were nightmarishly tight. (The rented car I had was on the big side.)

The room, as advertised, was a 'two room suite with wet bar.' Newly painted, though some peeling paint above the shower was evident. Worn furniture, but clean. TV with cable, room air conditioner, free Continental breakfast, free Afternoon Tea, free Champagne Party and free Cake Party are not the only 'freebies' offered.

The Backpacker’s Paradise' section offered a bed in a small room--with about ten beds to a room--for $12.00 per night. The small courtyard area in the middle of the rooms had some nice landscaping, a small pool, pool mini bar and lounge area, a small restaurant with full service bar, and four--that I saw--Internet access stations $1.00 for 10 minutes. The poolside bar offered, from 9am to midnight, Margaritas, beer, wine, hotdogs and ice cream for $.99 each.

The Hotel offered free shuttles to various places such as Venice Beach, Santa Monica Beach, Manhattan Village, and other shopping malls. They offered car rentals and had a 'special,' for room and car, $70.00 per day.

There was a funky kind of International flavor, everyone had accents, except me, and I’m glad I chose this 'suited-to-my-budget' place.
