My son was a patient in Cedars-Sinai, so Brenda and I drove over to LA. We stayed at a fun, funky little lodge in West LA. It was straight out of a Route 66 road trip from the 60s. We had a big, soft queen bed AND a full we didn't road-test. There was a nice color TV with cable. There were separately-controlled recessed lights on each side of the main bed. Our bathroom was vintage 50s with a tub deep and wide enough to SWIM in!
Unique Quality: Cute, snug two-story courtyard open to the sky closely surrounding a small but adequate pool. A TRULY funky lobby with a tree growing inside along the curved walls, a curving, wrought-iron staircase, and a small, glassed-in booth for the very friendly clerk.
Directions: West Hollywood just east of Cedars-Sinai Med Ctr, CBS Studios, etc. Centrally located for attractions from Paramount to Graumann's to the La Brea Tar Pits to the Museum of Tolerance to Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive.
