This is a very functional hotel with a great location. It just became a Holiday Inn Express (possibly previously a Best Western) and has been completely renovated. The rooms are very functional, compact, and cute. All rooms have a micro fridge and free high speed internet. All rooms’ entrances face a courtyard and security was not an issue. There is NO pool. Best of all, parking is free and easily accessible. The hotel is near to many popular attractions and is right off the 405 on the Santa Monica Boulevard. Staff was very friendly. I stayed there a total of 5 nights, over two weekends. If I am in the area in the future I would most likely stay there again. www.hiewestla.com

This hotel is fairly new. It's in a great location close to many things to do! The rooms and furnishing are almost brand new. The Suites are huge and the beds are super comfy. Of course since it's a Holiday Inn Express a hot breakfast is included.
Holiday Inn Express is a step up from most chain hotels and this one was no exception. The room was very comfortable, the hot breakfast very tasty, and all the ammenities were great. The girl behind the desk was very cute; but did not want me to post her picture here (at least I still got one). There is a Denny's within easy walking distance.
If you ever decide to visit Pacifica, you may want to consider a great little spot, right off the beach. The rooms were well kept, clean and neat as a pin! The owner(s) took much pride in their establishment and it showed with the excellent customer service I received during my stay. Very polite and attentative to one's needs. A must place to stay and reasonablly priced. An absolute great view of the ocean, should you decide on a room with this view. There are several types of rooms to choose from. Check out the fireplaces and sauna's! Within easy walking distance to the local eatery's and minutes away from a great Mexican food restaurant found to the right out of the hotel, down about a mile, then left at the light into the local shopping center. Restaurant in towards the left and back of the center.
This is a luxurious hotel. It is three stories high and they have an open area in the middle with comfortable chairs, a big screen TV, and coffee 24/7. The staff was very nice and made me feel welcome. My room was large, well equiped and comfortable. With my military discount it was also very reasonable. They said they had a Continental Breakfast in the morning. In addition to the normal toast, donuts, cold cereal, etc, they had an excellent cheddar cheese omelet and bacon.
Pool, comfortable chair and desk in every room. Queen and King size beds. You'll even find many with 'holidomes'. These are pools with game areas, in an enclosed space. Many rooms will open directly onto the play area. Great for kids. We used Holiday Inns (not to be confused with the lower cost, fewer amenities of the Holiday Inn Express) when we were traveling with kids. We knew that we'd have a pool and usually a large open space for them to move around and burn off energy from long days in the car or boring days (for them) in museums.
Probably not my first choice of accommodation, but as it turned out, it was less expensive than some other places locally. Phil, being a member of the AAA, managed to get us both a discount, from something like $120 a night to $89 a night, plus the dreaded tax. So, for 2 nights my bill was $203. And for that I got a wonderful suite all to myself (haha, sorry Phil, but you shouldn't smoke, hehe), with the biggest bed I have ever slept in. Pity I was all by myself, LOL! The views were perhaps not the greatest, but it was certainly nice and quiet. Pleasantly located, not too far from the beach and local shopping places. and, better still, only a few minutes' drive from Mercede's Restaurant. I'd stay there again.
Very comfortable and clean facility with friendly staff. It's a dog friendly property but always remember to call ahead and confirm.

I would like some input of the locals on this issue.
I have reservations at 2 Ramada hotels in the LA area.
The one located at 3930 Sepulveda in Culver City and the other one at 3130 Washington Blvd in Marina Del Rey.
Of course i need to cancel one of them before i go there next summer.
What would be the your advice on this ?
I have stayed in Marina at the Best Western before.
I know the location for the Ramada on Washington is not as nice at the BW on Admiralty Way.
Is the one on Sepulveda easier as far as getting places by Car ?
Any views are welcome.
Btw the Ramada in CC used to be the Holiday Inn Express.
TXs, Pete
All depends on your destinations which one works the best for your travel.
As far as destination they both work out fine.
I want to get views on location more than anything else.
Just to make sure, the question was which location to choose between those 2 Ramada's.
If money was not an issue i would go with the BW in a heartbeat, but at double the price of the Ramade that is not going to happen.
Have stayed at the BW before when the prices were about 50 pct lower than what they are now and loved the place.
Been there done that, am a gold crown club card member too, and the rate is no where what i pay at Ramada.
I have found out that sometimes GCC member can get the very lowest rate.
No need for more replies to this subject.
I have found a decent rate at the Holiday Inn Express in Marina and we are going to stay there next summer.
Txs
Good choice. But ask for a quiet room at any of these hotels as they are right on a noisy street and you don't want to be streetside.
