I stayed at the Holiday Inn near the Convention Center in downtown LA.
American Currency is about $70 to $100 dollars a night

The price is very reasonable. The facility has a outdoor swimming pool, a workout facility and if you get a good room you will be able to see the city of Los Angeles.
