Finest Mammoth has to offer

This is the finest place to stay in Mammoth. Walk across the street and you are at the Village, where you can dine or load your skis or board on the gondola, where it drops you off at Canyon Lodge where you can start your day on the slopes. The Hotel adds a service fee (I think it was $15) per night, which is kind of irritating. The rooms are owned by users and operated by Westin. However, they are all the same so it is relatively meaningless unless you know an owner. The rooms are very nice, the service is excellent although getting ride to the Village with your ski stuff can take more time than it should.

Indulge

by Roadquill about White Bark Inn at the Westin

The White Bark Inn at the Westin Monache Resort serves an excellent selection of gourmet dinners, lunches and appetizers. Very stylish setting. On the high end. It is on the pricey side, but when I want to indulge it is worth it. Very comfortable bar and lounge with several TV's keeping you up to date on the latest sports events.
