Great Mendocino B&B
The Sea Rock is located just a few minutes drive north of Mendocino. It boast some wonderful views of the rugged coast and the Pacific.
The Sea Rock has four deluxe accomodations in a main building. These run $299 per night double occupancy. It also has six cottages ranging from $169-$219. Many of the rooms have knotty pine wood panel walls which gives them a mountain cabin like feel. We stayed in Cottage #4. It had a queen bed, fireplace, private bath, and a small deck. It currently rents for $219 per night. The price has incresed since we visited in Aug. of 2002. Two years ago the rate was reasonable. Today I'd say it is not worth $219 at night.
The breakfasts served here were okay. The food was fresh, but ordinary. The staff was very helpful, especially when it came to chosing a restaurant in Mendocino.
Unique Quality: The location is great, with great views. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and full of good advice.

We paid $300/night for a two-room suite (one Queen, one King bed) with fireplace and jacuzzi tub.
Unique Quality: Gorgeous location overlooking the ocean. The guest cottages are surrounded by majestic cypress trees and beautiful flower gardens.
