We were originally scheduled to arrive in San Francisco from Chicago for the start of our 11 night/10 day trip at around 10:50 p.m. at night but because of the weekend rain that San Francisco was having our plane didn't leave O'Hare in Chicago until almost 10:00 p.m. Chicago time and we finally arrived at SFO around midnight. Fortunately our bags made it with no problem and the hotel shuttle service was still running at that hour. So after making a call for the shuttle, we waited about 10 minutes and had a quick 5 minute ride to the hotel.
The hotel wasn't too busy that night, so we had our pick of rooms. We selected Room 101 just so we didn't have to lug our luggage (hey maybe that's where the name came from) up an elevator. Since we were only staying one night we didn't need to unpack and didn't even use the hotels amenities except for the free breakfast the next morning.
As I mentioned it was very convenient to the airport and I noticed on the ride to the hotel that it was within walking distance to the transportation center. So if someone wanted to use this as a business base to go to any of the cities in the Bay Area without a car they could do so.
There are 2 37" HDTV's to watch and the bath towels are both large with an 86% cotton and 14% polyester base.
The hotel has a business center off the front lobby, an area to relax both inside and and outside, a fitness center, underground parking if you drive and of course the Fairfield free breakfast.
The breakfast fare included an assortment of juices, pastries, make your own waffles and you could also microwave up some breakfast sandwiches.
This hotel was recommended to me by the manager of the Travelodge in Redding, Ca. What a pleasant place to stay. We were tired and arrived late. The check-in was flawless and quick, thank God. The room was clean and fresh. Everything was done well and the bed was superb. Great night sleep. Close to airport but was very quite. The breakfast was simple but very well done. They had a shuttle to the airport and the cost of the stay was less than others quoted. Very nice place good recommendation.
