HIGH DESERT OASIS IN MOJAVE
The drive from Las Vegas to anywhere in California is a long drive. Many take the opportunity to stop along the way as a refueling point, a place to refresh, have a meal, and to many travellers a place to sleep. Visiting an area along the way can also be rewarding as most towns, no matter how small may have something of interest for you. Mojave is such a town. Sitting about 3 1/2 hours (226 miles) from Las Vegas taking I-15 via Barstow turnoff to Mojave on the Hwy CA-58 to Bakersfield and beyond to Yosemite, Sacramento, San Francisco or then south to Los Angeles, makes Mojave an ideal stopover.
The Best Western Plus Desert Winds is a nice place to stay overnight in Mojave. Close by to fast food locations with McDonald's right across the street and Carl' Jr about 2 blocks away. Like to sit down and relax, enjoy a meal or even imbibe with a cocktail. Only 3 blocks away is Mike's Family Road House for good food with an interesting decor. The Best Western Plus Desert Winds has not only the a/c you look for in the desert, especially in summer but a protected from the wind, inviting pool to refresh and relax after the drive from Las Vegas.
Unique Quality: A good breakfast area and the rooms are off the street so the noise is down. The pool area is protected from the winds by the rooms, so relaxing in the pool is not disturbed by wind. The Best Western Plus Desert Winds is a clean and well kept motel in the heart of Mojave.
