The last room in Monterey

We stayed here during Labor Day weekend. We booked over two months in advance and this was the only place we could get within our price range. The location is good. It is about a mile walk from Fisherman's Wharf and downtown Monterey.

The room was a little run down. The wall paper was peeling off the walls but the rooms were clean otherwise.

My only complaint was that we had three people staying in the room but only one king sized bed. They would not bring a cot in due to fire code. They wouldn't let us check in until we said that only two people were going to stay in the room. The three of us just stayed there anyways and snuck the third person in through the sliding door everyday. A litttle 007 action.

Unique Quality: This hotel does have a pool and hot tub which not all places have in Monterey.
