A great little hideaway

I looked at reviews from everywhere and most of the people said some of the bigger places weren't even that great so I decided to try this place out since there was so muhc positive feedback. We went to cheer on a friend doing the Big Sur Half Marathon so the town was pretty packed. The rate was good, the little cottage style rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The service was nice (mom & pop style) and it was in a good location. Not too far from dowtown Monterrey but far enough to not be slammed with lots of people everywhere. It was just right! And for our first time ever in Monterey, not to shabby at all! We would SO stay here again! The only slight downfall was there were heaters in the room but not fans. We didn't want to leave the bedroom windows open because of the noise of people walking by or us bothering others with our noise so we had to have the bathroom window open the entire time. If you are in Monterey and want some place to hand out at night - go to the Mucky Duck in downtown. If you go ALL the way to the back, there is a roofless area where live bands play at night and firepit tables. It's AWESOME!!!

Unique Quality: Cute cottage style rooms. There was a "pool room" that we never checked out, however. We even were able to buy our Aquarium tickets at the hotel too. But I wouldn't go to the Aquarium again. BORING!
