I wasn't too sure about the security of the room. We had a shared balcony with the neighbouring room with a sliding patio door. Plus there was no safety deposite box available.
Also there was no air conditioning, which during our stay in a heat wave wasn't very nice!
Breakfast came in with the price and that wasn't too bad - fruit, cereal, toast & cake.
Location wasn't ideal for downtown Monterey and the water front. However a taxi wasn't too dear and we found out on our last night there was a bus stop just up from the hotel which took you directly downtown.
