Very pleasant
We have stayed at Embassy suites hotels wherever we go. They really are a pleasant hotel. This was no different. Staff was helpful. The grounds are beautiful and makes it nice to stay at the hotel in the evenings and enjoy it. Room was great! Hotel was rather expensive compared to others in the area. Although it was a pleasant stay I am not sure we would stay again because of the price. We had problems with our phone all weekend. Every time we pushed the button on the phone for the front desk we got 911 emergency so the county would call back and so would the front desk asking if we had an emergency. They came a reprogrammed our phone 3 times but it kept going back to the 911. We just walked to the front desk with questions after that. There was no free internet service (even in the lobby) but they had 2 computers in the business room you could use for free (if you could get on them). Nice place but expensive.

An all time favorite
Napa Valley Embassey has to be one of my all time favorite place to stay at Napa. It is a quaint big hotel right off the highway right after you enter the city limit of Napa. It is easily accessible, lots to do nearby - outlet mall across the highway, lots of restaurants nearby, Albertson Grocery store right down the road, Copia within 5 miles, and Buffalo Shipping next exit down. All of the rooms are suites, which means you get a bedroom and a living room with sleeper sofa - so you can fit 4 people or possibly more there. The free breakfast buffets and the evening receptions make the experience even better. The gift shop is actually well stocked with Napa Valley souvaniers. Waiting staff is great. Oh, did I mention the large pond at the middle of the hotel with swans and ducks and sculptures? The price is also reasonable - in upper $100's to low $200's per night. And there are plenty of rooms, so if you are stuck in Napa without room, this is a good place to find one, unless if you are there at the Crush Weekend or Auction weekend.
Unique Quality: A gorgeous pond at the middle of hotel with swans and ducks - a favorite place for tourist to take pictures. Heck, it is so beautiful that you can get as good of pic here in the hotel as you can elsewhere in USA...

Great Accommodations in Napa
My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Napa Valley and San Francisco. We spent five days at the Embassy Suites Hotel Napa Valley and really enjoyed our visit. The staff could not have been more accommodating and always went out of their way to be helpful. Although it is an all suites hotel the rooms are a bit small. The bathroom door were only fold up doors betwen the living room and bedroom. It was fine for the two of us but would have been small if another person were sleeping on the couch. There was a refrigerator and a microwave oven in the bar area. The living room was dark because the windows were small and had shutters. The bedroom was much brighter and had it's own sink and a large sunny window. The king size bed had lots of pillows and was very comfortable. The room was very attractive. The Hotel was in the middle of updating a lot of the furniture. The Hotel offers two pools one inside and one outside. There are spa services available as well. We ate at the restaurant one evening. The food was good but they had run out of the sirloin which my husband had wanted. The complimentary breakfast was really wonderful. They had a daily omlet special as well as hash brown potatoes, bacon, sausages, french toast, pancakes, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, tea, etc. Great Value!
Unique Quality: One of the really attractive features was the courtyard. It had a pond which was beautiful. It had a family of swans, ducks and we even saw a two turtles. We always spent some time sitting out there either eating breakfast or enjoying the complimentary drinks and dips in the evening. There were a lot of sculptures around the pond adding to the interest. Even though the Hotel was right off of Hwy 29, when you were in the courtyard with the pond, the flowers and the wildlife you felt like you were in a more exotic place.

Pleasantly Surprised!
We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. It was very beautiful and classy. Hotel accommodations in Napa are hard to come by. You should plan many weeks in advance if you plan to visit. Also, the hotel rates in Napa are much more than what you may be used to spending. Sonoma is less expensive but I also hear the accommodations are not spectacular either.
Unique Quality: This particular Embassy Suites included a full breakfast with the accommodations to include beverages, fruits, various muffins and breads, omelets made to order, potatoes, sausage/bacon in a sunlit dining area with plasma television you didn't hear but displayed closed captioning. We also enjoyed one of the two heated swimming pools, one outdoors and one indoors. The indoor jaccuzzi was especially relaxing. These photos posted are from the website.

Embassy Suites, Napa: A Great Hotel for A Mini Getaway
by A TripAdvisor Member
We booked this hotel (Saturday night stay) at the last minute (a day prior to arrival) as the first hotel we chose turned out to be too far from Napa. We got an average rate via the Embassy Suite's website. After reading the many mixed comments on Trip Advisor, I was prepared for the absolute worse.
Maybe my and my family's expectations are not as high as the previous posters who gave the hotel poor reviews. But we thought our room was more than adequate and the staff were friendly enough. There was one breakfast attendant who cooked and she was very brusque, not friendly. The beds, as noted, have been replaced and were very very comfortable. The mattresses are thick and perfect, not too soft and not too hard.
The bathroom featured a granite countertop and that looked fairly new. The bathtub had a sliding double door which I appreciated rather than a having a shower curtain which can cling to your skin.
The breakfast was convenient and very good. We also liked the beverage hors d' oeuvre reception at night. It was good enough.
Also the grounds are unique. The 3 storey building is designed like a hacienda and the inner part surrounds the millpond, garden areas. There are swans and ducks in the pond. It would be lovely to take breakfast outdoors as there were tables set up. But November was a bit cold and it was drizzly the day we had breakfast there.
The only negative points are:
The hairdryer is outside the bathroom. It's located all the way in the bedroom area at the second sink. I feel it should be in the bathroom not only for the convenience but also so as to not wake the occupants in the bedroom if you are sharing the suite as we did.
The sofabed had a very very thin mattress so there was no support and more than one night would have resulted in horrible backaches for us.
On the bright side, the staff said that renovations will commence in December!
For high priced Napa, the Embassy Suites is actually a bargain. I would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it highly.
Not up to Embassy Suites standards

Stayed for three nights in February and although the outside temperature was in the high 40's and low 50's the heat was not on. This is the first ime that we have sat in a hotel room wearing our coats. They have a unique heating and A/C system which belies description! They finally agreed that " yes it is still winter" and warmed us all up. The rooms are looking a little shopworn but were clean and quiet. Happy hour was the usual but they need some better munchies. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant which was even better as they take the Entertainment card. We paid $57 on Priceline and at this rate would certainly stay again....but in the Summer!
A suite base to explore the Napa Valley
by TripAdvisor Member johnnyjumpstart
I loved this hotel! I paid only $67/night on priceline which was a steal IMO. The hotel has a grand lobby which gives it a national parks lodge type of feel. My suite was in top shape & extremely comfortable. There are 2 pools, one indoor & one outdoor. The included breakfast was large & excellent. The hotel opens a full 2 hour open bar every evening between 5:30-7:30PM & you can order anyhting you like & go back for refills. This hotel is a nice base from which to explore the Napa valley & i highly recommend it!
Don't Check in After 8:00 PM

In general, we've had great experiences with Embassy Suites, so this was a very unhappy surprise. We arrived exhausted just before 9:00 PM only to find ourselves assigned to the last double/double room left (the only kind of room that was available when we made the reservation). Room smelled like disinfectant and was right next to a noisy staircase and ice/beverage room...it became clear that it would be impossible to get any rest. Asked for a room change and were told by an extremely condescending/rude desk clerk that nothing else was available. We checked out and went up the road to the very nice Marriott. Just got our credit card statement and found out that the same Embassy Suites desk clerk charged us $15 for taking a teddy bear out of the room...a teddy bear that we never saw.

stayed here in march 2005 with my two siblings. everything was so great - staff, rooms, food, etc. we had a problem with the w.c., but the staff were with us so quickly and sorted everything out. incidently, we also stayed in the embassy suites in lake tahoe a few days later and it was exactly the same. would highly recommend these embassy suites.
