Only 20 minutes drive for me,...
Only 20 minutes drive for me, no idea about lodging, but I do see many weekly/monthly house-rental signs in Balboa Island and Newport Beach area, the price in summer is higher, the rest of the year are quite reasonable consider the location, and I think the off season actually is the best time to come, less crowd, perfect temperature, and still quite sunny .
