how do i get from john wayne airport to oceanside does the train go there
Hello,
The Irvine Shuttle (http://www.irvineshuttle.net) can take you to/from the airport/Tustin Train station where you can catch the Metrolink (http://www.metrolinktrains.com/schedules/html.php?id=987) to Oceanside. Another option is to take the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner, but you have to get to the Irvine Transit Center vice the Tustin stop to pick it up (http://www.amtrakcalifornia.com).

I have used trains from Oceanside frequenting travelling north and south but ever remeber seeing the John Wayne Airport except from the road.

There is a really wonderful walkway that takes you safely from the beach area to the downtown area under the railroad tracks. They accented with some lovely art work and decorated the walkway with a nice paint scheme. Along the walkway they have planted some really beautiful garden. It is also handicap accessible. It is next to Pier View Way.

Well we did not see very much of Oceanside, but we did meet Spartan and we really had great fun all together. Also my husband Remo and our friends Clara and Fritz did enjoy this evening very much.

Hmm... I didn't know exactly what the English word YIELD meant when I arrived to the USA - something like to give up, I thought. In American English to yield to traffic coming from another direction is to wait and allow it to go first. So, there were yield writings on the highway surface.
Drivind around a few communities and cities in Southern California I noticed that there were many more STOP signs than YIELD ones - especially in residential areas.
So, I was a little surprised to see big yield signs driving (a little) around Oceanside.

YIELD in Rhode Island means go faster get through the intersection before the oncoming car - no, not really, but that's what a lot of people do!

At the Oceanside Harbor you can make arrangements to go on a Whale Watching boat tour, deep sea fishing adventure or take sailing lessons.
Personally I would choose deep sea fishing - I didn't discover it, yet :-). Did you? There are also sailboats, kayaks and Wave Runners available to rent.
Here's one of the seafood buckets, not sure the name of this one. I had the shrimp bucket and the shrimp had a delicious slightly crispy seasoning (oops or was I eating the shells!). Buckets ranged from around $16.99 to $22.99 each.
The inside of the restaurant is tropically decorated with colorful paintings and the resemblance of thatched roofs throughout.
We had to move indoors when the rain started and unfortunately the bar/restaurant closed at 10:30.
