Beautiful Hotel - annoying high pressure sales
This is a beautiful hotel with direct access to the beach and lovely ocean-view lounges. The pool is wonderful and the gym well-equipped. However, our stay was continually interrupted by high-pressure sales people trying to get us to buy into a timeshare for the hotel. They will not take NO for an answer. We had phone calls to our room every day asking us to take a tour which we declined. While on the grounds, we were continually interrupted by other tours going on and felt kind of like exhibits - the staff would ask us how we were enjoying the pool, gym, etc. in front of their tour guests. It was definitely NOT relaxing. Even while on the public beach in front of the hotel, a man came over to us from the hotel to try to sell us a timeshare. I will never stay at this beautiful hotel again because of the constant interruptions, poor customer service, and lack of concern for their paying guests in their attempt to sell timeshares.
Negative four stars - I do NOT recommend this hotel

Helpfulness
The Best View In Town~
Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort is just steps away from Oceanside's #1 attraction. It also just down the road from the beautiful harbor. It is also just a couple of blocks from historical Coast Highway 101 where there is lots of shopping and restaurants.
The first night we got in late and stayed in their studio apartment, which was small but very nice. We had a view and a lovely balcony. The bathroom was huge with a wonderful jacuzzi tub and a separate shower, which my oldest loved.
The next two nights we stayed in the two bedroom ocean view room on the sixth floor. I had no idea of what a fabulous view we had. As soon as we walked in you could see the pier immediately out of the second bedroom, kitchen and living room balcony. Wow, and we even had another balcony in the master bedroom that overlooked the pool and the ocean. Fabulous. What is neat about this Wyndham, is in each tower is a dayroom with a another fabulous view of the ocean/pier and a great place to have a party or to just relax. The decor is lovely, plenty of seating and a very large flat screen TV.

As you probably can tell, I absolutely love the murals! More and more cities are incorporating as art to their historical downtown area. So, check them out. Many are hidden the alleyways, so explore!

Highway 101 is considered a virtual living road museum. Many of the buildings along it still hold their original architecture and charm. Lots of wonderful business to checkout such as cafe's, restaurants, surf shops, book stores, theatre and gifts shops!

Oceanside has some of the nicest, cleanest, and wide sandy beaches. There are Harbor Beach, Breakwater Way, Pier View North, Pier View South, Tyson State Beach, Wisconsin Street Beach, Oceanside Boulevard, and Buccaneer Beach. There is a wonderful playground area, picnic benches, fire pits, and a wonderful pedestrian pathways for joggers or bicyclist.

A perfect place someone can stereotype as a clean, adorable, harbor town in California. Oceanside has the wholesome appearance of the beautiful boats tied up on the docks, the great weather, fanstatic coffee shops, tourist attractions, pelicans, excellant seafood restaurants, and much more. Over 3.5 miles of white sandy beaches make Oceanside the ideal location for sunning and surfing.
Located 30-45 minutes north from San Diego, Oceanside has everything to offer. Life here is relaxed, warm, and simple.

I'm sorry - I'm not familiar with the Wyndham. I'm just curious as to why you are choosing to stay in Oceanside? It's about 1 hour from San Diego and 1 hour from Los Angeles and as quaint a town Oceanside may be, there is not too much else in the vicinity.

As Grace asks, why Oceanside. If you have someone in the Marines, then yes, Oceanside is the place to stay. Camp Pendleton in Oceanside is an active military base and the main reason, Oceanside is still around, in my opinion. Dana Point, north or Del Mar, south would be better choices for a vacation.
