An Incredible Get-away in the Ojai Valley

My husband surprised me with a trip up to the Ojai valley. He made reservations at a local bed and breakfast. He actually scooped me as I had never even heard about it until we drove up. We kinda got lost trying to find it but we did, with out too much arguement!

The Theodore Woolsey House, a restored historical 5000 sq. foot stone and clapboard home. The drive way is lined with roses and other flora and fauna which what makes it so pretty.

The acreage which belongs to the Woolsey estate are shaded by ancient oak trees and guarded by a stone wall built by the Chinese over a century ago to keep the land from flooding.

Unique Quality: Coffee is available at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast is prepared between 8:30 to 10:30 every morning

In the dining room you will find an old custom made walnut piano and an antique solid oak gynecologist table. Hmmmmm, I am glad we ate outside on the patio!!! *grin*

We stayed in the "Patricia" room (funny, that was my mother's name.) The queen size canopied four poster bed was so pretty to look at. There is even a high back antique claw foot tub. The balcony has a beautiful view of the flowering gardens and majestic mountains. A unique quality in the Patricia Room is one, taking a shower in a claw foot bathtub, and two, there is a trundle bed for another person or two, which can be of great help for people who would like to share a room to split costs.

The Theodore Woolsey House is a fine bed and breakfast. A very nice play to stay and play in Ojai, California.
