Spa Resort Casino

This Spa Resort and Casino is centrally located, and we stayed here for an enjoyable four days of rest and relaxation after completing a 17 day coach tour of California and the Golden West.

I was in my element as unbeknown to us when we chose to stay here in Palm Springs there was the annual Harley Davidson Bikers weekend being held here. Bikes of all shapes and sizes, (Harley's of course) and every accessory imaginable. The main street was closed to traffic, and there were stalls, food, oh all sorts of goodies available. It was fun, and seeing all those lovely bikes certainly rounded off my stay here.

Over 1,000 yrs. ago the Agua Caliente band of Cahuilla Indians discovered "Se-Khi" (boiling water) in that area that has come to be known as Palm Springs.
They considered the mineral springs to be sacred as well as water with great curative and resorative powers.

Unique Quality: The resort has a 24 hr. Casino,
230 guest rooms and suites,
two oversized outdoor hot mineral water pools,
large outdoor heated swimming pool, meeting and banquet facilities,
1 restaurant
2 lounges
patio dining
gift shop/coffee bar
spa and fitness facility mens and ladies
beauty salon
fitness room
exercise classes

The pools were lovely, a real bonus for us, and the hot spa's were v. hot.

In November 2003 there will be a new Spa Resort Casino situated just north east of the existing one.
there will be food and beverage facilities, a buffet, club bar and grill, 24 hr. food court, central bar on the gaming floor and a 150 seat lounge featuring evening entertainment.
The new casino will include over1,000 slot machines, 30 gaming tables, high limit slot, table games, and a slot club offering incentives to frequent players.

More about Spa Hotel and Casino

Place to Stay, Place to Gamble, Place to Relax

by deecat about Spa Resort Casino

In the center of downtown Palm Springs, you will find a wonderful resort, Spa Resort Casino. The hotel has 230 luxurious guest rooms and suites that are large and well appointed. The service is outstanding. The hotel boasts a "World-class Spa" voted 'Best in the Valley' seven years in a row."

In addition, there are two fine eating establishments, Agua Bar & Grill and The Steakhouse at The Spa. Both are highly regarded and always busy.

Many people come to the Spa to gamble at the 24-hour casino with over 1,000 of the best Vegas-style slots and gaming tables. The best thing about the Spa Resort Casino is the location. You can walk to all the shops, the wonderful restaurants, the movie theatre, the Palm Springs Follies, Coffee Shops, the Deli, and any other facility you can think of.

In addition, the Spa is outstanding and reasonably priced. It is famous for "Taking of the Waters" in a sunken tub with Aqua Coolant hot mineral spring water before relaxing in the Tranquility Room. Then you have your treatment such as massages, aromatherapy, relexology, facials, etc.

I also enjoyed the Casino because of all the "low-priced" slots. It's a fun place to gamble and have fun "people watching".

This tip could be a "thing to do" or "nightlife tip". It is very nice here and this place is huge. It is the only full-service resort offering casino, spa and hotel amenities. The Spa Resort Casino sits on nine acres in the heart of beautiful and historic downtown Palm Springs.
There are table games and slot machines and fine dining here. The pool is great and the Spa is fantastic. We came here to have a mini massage.

Travel to PS with mother and aunt

by iamjanj

Hello, I would like to take my mother and aunt out on their birthday Oct 9. We will be in town from Oct 4 to Oct. 12. They will be turning 75 and 67 years old. Can anyone suggest a place we might go for dinner and entertainment? Are there clubs for the mature set that might be fun? Dancing would be nice, as they are both, and me too, good dancers. Are there dinner shows anywhere? Waiting anxiously as I want to plan something special for them. Thank you.

I have an 88 year old mother that really enjoys getting out and about and one of her favorite places is an Indian Casino. In the Palm Springs area, one of the oldest is The Spa Resort Casino right in downtown Palm Springs. Another good one is only 10 minutes away in Coachella, the TrumpSpotlight 29 Casino. Twenty minutes away, off the I-10, is the much advertised Casino Morango, located in Cabazon. They all offer, besides gambling and those great pass the time entertainment slot machines(what golden age person passes up a chance to play the slots), great food sites including buffets, great entertainment with top named stars, and some even have hotels. What a great day or night out!!!

Sorry this is short notice. I don't login very often.
Dinner really depends on budget. My absolute favorite is the St. James. Excellent food, fine service, and the ambience can't be beat. They also have dancing Thur- Sun. in their lounge. Can be a bit crowded, 80's to present type disco style music. Or you could try Billy Reed's they have more the ballroom style dancing rhumba, foxtrot etc. it is alot of fun. I'm not sure which days. Try calling them.
Enjoy your visit. Tammy
