Don't Pass Up a Chance to Visit
by TripAdvisor Member playfulpair
We were welcomed like family on our very first visit a few years ago and have been treated the same on every single visit since then. Our last visit was for 5 days and even after that amount of time we were sad to leave and return to the real world.
People who have reviewed the Terra Cotta before us have about said it all... We can't think of single thing to improve on. We look forward to the relaxation, the comforts, making new friends / seeing old ones and the total experience each time we visit. Speaking of comforts... we always seem to sleep our best on those comfy beds in every room!
As far as the nudity is concerned, it took us about 15 minutes to feel at ease on our first visit. The clothing optional rule makes it a no pressure/ no expectation environment. Don't pass up a chance to visit the Terra Cotta!
Heaven away from home

My wife and I just returned recently from a stay with Tom and MaryClare and as usual we had a great time. We've resided at the Terra Cotta Inn numerous times over the past 8 years.
The first time my wife and I went she was hesitant about going, she thought like most people that it was going to be a swingers hang out. Once their she saw otherwise and hence we've been going back for 8 years.
Our favorite room is room 34, President Kennedy stayed their at one time prior to becoming a clothing-optional resort. It also has it's own back yard and entrance. We've stayed in every room at he resort over the past 8 years and have found that their rooms are bigger then most hotels.
Tom and MaryClare have always been great host and we never want to leave but all of us have to return to reality sooner or later.
Fun for me, the husband

I love Trip Advisor.... Great service for travelers.
Two stars for Terra Cotta Inn because.... "Okay, but some problems".
First time nude motel for me and wife. I loved that aspect... Wife hated it.
Jacuzzi temp was 100 F (I like 104). Pool temp was less than 70, but I was insured it was heated to 86 F when I made reservation. Jets in jacuzzi were poor. 8 installed- 4 barely worked- 4 inoperative.
Told we could check in at 1030 but room did not become available until 12:30 so we had to kill two hours while our libidos wanned.
Room cost us $169/night plus $20 tax= $189. I consider this expensive but I am a cheapskate.
That is the bad. The GOOD is fun, friendly, no threat, relaxing environment. Take away the cost, the unproductive jaquizzi, and the cold pool and you have a VERY RELAXING, VERY WELL HOSTED retreat.
I probable will not return but you should try it once to experience it.
Loved! the Terra Cotta, first timer friendly
by TripAdvisor Member Jimerie
We just returned from a few days at the Terra Cotta Inn and we loved every minute we spent there. Our only complaint is that there weren't enough minutes there. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean. A nice touch is a refrigerator and microwave in every room so you can go to the grocery store and load up. That way you barely even need to go out for dinner. Breakfast is included in the room price and is a nice healthy layout. Many of the room have overhead heaters on the porch so that on cold evenings you can sit out and talk with neighbors.
The saline pool was great for swimming even though the temperature on our first day there was only in the fifties. The pool was plenty warm for a nice swim. I can't imagine a more comfortable environment for any first time first timers. The other people staying there are all very friendly and we had a great time meeting and talking with everybody.
The hot tub was a great place after dark hangout. The water temperature is warm at around 100 or so but that allows you to stay in and talk longer. There was a meeting there every night.
The Terra Cotta is comfortable, clean, relaxed and one of the best "getaway" places I've ever been to. And nothing kinky seems to go on. It's couples only and as first timers ourselves we found the people there all tremendously interesting and a joy to be neighbors with for a few days. If you're thinking about about trying something like this, I can't imagine a better place to start. We loved it and it was a real joy to make so many new and interesting friends.
Great place in the sun

We visited TCI during the first week of February and found it to be a very nice C/O place. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of relaxing time around the pool and in the hot tub. We were nude all week and really hated to put clothes on to go out for diner at night, and used the call in service for lunch.
The beds are very nice and Tom provides lots of towels for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was converted to a saline base system on the Monday that we were there and we found it, like the previously converted swimming pool, to be very kind to the skin.
Tom and Marie Calre have a very nice continental breakfast each day and great 4 PM snacks when Tom comes around wearing only a bow tie and offers wine to go with the snacks.
This is a great low key establishment and we highly reccomend the massages that are available. We met some really great people there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will certainly return when the opportunity presents itself.
Not our first choice.

We have been to another resort in PS many times, and after realizing that we really enjoyed nude vacationing, thought we should try something different. Terra Cotta is very highly rated, and we found that those that reviewed Terra Cotta really liked it.
We arrived to find the ground a little cramped but well kept, the "lobby" was a little small and tired, but the owners are extremely friendly (as we had read they would be). The room we were given was in the corner of the facility, and we later found that it shared a wall with a daycare center next door. We found it to be a little distracting to hear happily screaming children in our room. Our front window looked out onto another room's patio, and late into the evening and early the next morning we listened to that neighbor on his patio talking loudly to the neighbor on the next patio while smoking. The single pane glass and loose fitting door allowed his voice and smoke to wake us up early that morning.
We decided that Terra Cotta wasn't for us, and paid to leave and go to another resort in PS. The owner was very kind and understanding, and I had no problem paying for the next night even though we had no intention of staying there. I realize that Terra Cotta is popular with many people and for him to lose a night's income would not be fair. Our experience may have been much different in a different room than the one we had, but the grounds were certainly smaller than we like.
For us, Terra Cotta is not what we are looking for in a nudist resort, we like a little bit more upscale, more onsite facilities and with a bit more activity during the day.
I'm rating it average because it may be that we just hit the timing wrong with the room and neighbor. So many other people really like it that I'm thinking we may have just had bad luck. For us it satisfied our curiosity, and we'll keep going to the other place.
Oasis away from home!

We've been going to the Terra Cotta Inn as much as possible over the last 10 years. WE LOVE IT! It is truly an Oasis away from every day life.
For those who haven't tried the "nude thing" I strongly suggest your first time be at the Terra Cotta. You will be welcomed and feel very comfortable. (not a swingers hang out!)
I'll admit it seems strange, but once you are there, it is not! Where else do/can you actually talk to others at the hotel your staying?? You may even meet some life long friends! I know we have and look forward to meeting more. Try it, You'll be hooked.
Another benefit is, you will never feel better about your body in your life, realizing that even the "pretty people" have back fat, cellulite, & pooch belly's! Thank GOD!
P.S. The beds are to die for!!
