Your Morning Paper
by ATXtraveler
Due to being a business traveler, I am fairly used to eating my meals by myself while I am on the road. One of the things I always enjoy doing is to grab a paper and read a little in it prior to breakfast arriving.
What I found interesting in Palo Alto was that a large number of people were doing the same thing. I thought this was odd, because they looked local.
This made me think... did they have no one to go to breakfast with?
The Palo Alto Daily News was the paper I picked up in town. It had alot of good editorial articles, which I expected being so close to Stanford!
Have a Cook Book!
by ATXtraveler about Cook Book Restaurant
On the way to one of my business meetings, we stopped in at the Cook Book restaurant for breakfast. I had an omelette and it was delicious. Great place for a quick breakfast!
Enjoy it, and if you like them... try the cheese blintzes!
Light Meal With Your Art
by AlbuqRay about Cool Cafe
If you are on the Stanford campus and want a light meal, try the Cool Cafe at the Cantor Center for Visual Arts. They have good soups, salads and sandwiches. You can eat inside or on the patio. The same owners have the JZ Cool Eatery in downtown Menlo Park. We just had Arnold Palmers (iced tea and lemonade) and enjoyed the beautiful weather on the patio overlooking the Rodin Sculpture Garden. Not bad, huh!
It's Always Sunny in Palo Alto
by jenci838
Palo Alto is not a huge place, and University Ave + Stanford are the main places that you would probably run into as a visitor. It's a beautiful place for a calm stroll, and the campus is so big that I was always stumbling across something new and exciting that was tucked away somewhere. Go explore! Living there was fantastic--hard to ever feel stressed when it's that beautiful all around you.

"Information"
Palo Alto is a wonderful little city just north of San Jose, and about 35 miles south of San Francisco, located very close to the western edge of the San Francisco Bay Area.
It has been a city for over a hundred years, and is named after the 250 year old redwood tree that Spanish settlers found on the creek of San Fransicquito.
It is the home to Stanford University, among many other high tech industry companies.
