Comfortable 50s Motel
Hotel from 1950s has bit of an old style. Comfortable. Staff is friendly. Continental breakfast is pleasant.
Unique Quality: They have a larger family room not mentioned on web site.

Hotel that feels like home.
Want a great night sleep? This is the place to be. Really friendly staff, and knowledgeable about Pasadena. Breakfast every morning, and coffee is great.
Unique Quality: The heated pool is great, which is located in the courtyard. Really wonderful and has a timeless appeal.

Nice place to stay
This is a good option if you want to visit Pasadena. It is clean and nice, and the service is good. Even the breakfast is pretty tasty, I was a little scared by the warning sign in the lobby (something like: The food can contain substances or traces of substances which can provoke cancer and/or birth defect. hehehe, but I suppose that almost all the food in US contain this kind of ...substances so you cannot escape)
Unique Quality: The hotel has a good location, close to PCC and Caltech. You can take the Metro Gold Line from Allen station, which is really close (~5-8min).

For a Comfortable Stay
It looks like a motel. It feels like a charming Bed & Breakfast. The Saga is a very comfortable place to stay in Pasadena.
Easy to reach, on Pasadena's main street, the Saga offers a step up in decor and amenities from bargain-brand motels. The lobby and breakfast room surround the traveller with the cozy feeling of a country kitchen. Light wood furnishings and chintz prints predominate in the inviting and comfortably furnished bedrooms. The friendly staff serve up a deluxe continental breakfast with fresh fruits and homemade-looking breads.
Unique Quality: The heated pool is enclosed in a garden setting - a relaxing spot to unwind at the end of the day. For longer stays, complimentary laundry service is available.
At a AAA rate of $80.00 per day for a double room, the cost is reasonable for the Pasadena area. Parking is free.
